Wattura Resort & Spa

We had an amazing honeymoon at this resort. The food was exceptional and the staff were also quiet efficient. I'll recommend Wattura Resort and Spa to traveller who would like to enjoy their stay in Sri Lanka.

We booked 3 river suites here for our family. It was one of the best resorts we experienced. From the booking over the phone until the check out it’s was perfect with great hospitality. Piyumika( front office) was very responsive over the phone and during our check in and check out. Rooms were so spacious with all modern amenities and spotless clean. Separate balconies/ verandas and your own garden space to relax. The complimentary snacks were so yummy. Food served at the restaurant was delicious. Variety of options are available to select as its set menu. Tharaka who served us was very helpful and patient with all are requests. Garden and the pool was well maintained and provides you with space to relax. Best experience for kids was the amazing water park and the game station. It’s fully functional and very clean. Best experience in a hotel with this type of facilities for kids. Staff were very friendly and ready to help. Kids were so surprised with the soft toy offered at the check out .Well maintained property we will definitely visit again and recommend everyone with families to enjoy the resort.

This hotel is located in a prime spot between a beach and a river, making it an ideal destination for families. The atmosphere is incredibly kid-friendly, which was a huge plus for my family. The rooms are spacious and have ample room for kids to play and explore within the rooms themselves. While the value may be slightly higher compared to other hotels, we were able to get a discounted rate, which made it worth it. The hotel boasts a water park, which is the highlight for the kids, and they absolutely loved it. Even adults can enjoy the water park, making it a great place for all ages. There’s also a gaming area that’s still under construction, but there are some games that are already available. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and they go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. One thing that I should mention is that most hotels offer bulk food platters, but this hotel has a variety of platters that are not only delicious but also have enough food to satisfy everyone. I especially want to thank the chef for creating such delicious food. The overall staff is friendly and helpful, and I particularly enjoyed the service of Ms. Chathurika. There was also a flute player who played calming music during our meals, adding to the overall ambiance of the hotel. In conclusion, this hotel is a fantastic place to stay for families. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing vacation.

My husband and I visited Wattura Resort & Spa last weekend, and I would like to say that it was a truly unique and wonderful experience. The ambiance and the way nature is seamlessly connected to every element of the hotel are exceptional. The luxurious rooms are beautifully designed, and the mattress was one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced. The overall vibe of the hotel is peaceful, relaxing, and deeply connected to nature. We especially enjoyed the breathtaking views, including the beautiful ocean and the Gin River. The natural surroundings created a perfect atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. The food was also outstanding. We had our meals at Pappli Restaurant, and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The dining experience certainly added to our memorable stay. What impressed us most was the hospitality of the staff. From the General Manager to every team member, everyone greeted guests with genuine warmth and a welcoming smile. Their professionalism and kindness made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. Water is clearly the main concept of the resort, and the soothing sound of flowing water can be heard in many areas of the property, creating a calm and tranquil environment. The resort also features a large swimming pool, a wonderful spa, and a well-equipped gym, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Finally, I would like to thank the entire team for their incredible hospitality. We highly recommend this resort to any traveler who loves being surrounded by nature with luxury & comfort.

I had a fantastic stay. The location was convenient, and the facilities went beyond my expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The staff was friendly and always eager to assist. I highly recommend this hotel for families with children. The water park is very safe, and kids love it, along with the games center. First night in Sri Lanka made very special by a lovely night in Wattura. The staff were lovely and the service excellent. Wish we had stayed longer.

Stayed for only one night , our room was spacious and clean, nice view of the river. Hotel is right on the beach. The staff , whether reception, the restaurant or the bell boy could not have been more helpful and professional, the were brilliant . Food was top notch too. No complaints whatsoever

A truly stunning place, surrounded by beautiful, lush green landscapes and located right on a breathtaking wild beach. The pool is huge, and there’s even a fantastic water park for kids—they had an absolute blast and didn’t want to leave. The Sri Lankan staff were incredibly kind, warm, and generous, always making us feel welcome. This place exceeded all of our expectations, and we enjoyed every single moment of our stay. It’s a unique and charming resort, and we would love to come back again in the future.
