Bar Reef Resort

From the moment you enter Bar Reef Resort you know you are in for a great stay. Lakshman greets you as do his collegues. The view down the infinity pool almost seems like it enters the ocean. There are a number of shaded cabana's and very comfortable. Our hut 'Coriander'. was great. Then vieuw from our hut was amazing! Aircon and an amazing open shower area. Swimming outfront was excellent and safe. We were there in March. The ground staff also very friendly as they were keeping the place immaculate. Could not fault the food and service. If you are in the area, check this one out. Next year we hope to come to back and start our trip here as we plan to explore the North.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Bar Reef Resort. The food is excellent, the rooms large and well maintained. We preferred the beach cabanas which were air conditioned and fronted the fabulous pool. The location is very peaceful, on beautiful stretch of beach. We watched some turtle hatchlings being released the evening we arrived. Special shout out to Mr Laksham and Mr Roshan who made us feel very welcome indeed.

Beautiful and newly renovated resort! The beach is absolutely amazing! Rooms are updated. You will feel like you are in heaven! We stayed down the beach at their sister property - Dolphin Beach Resort, which was a wonderful "glamping" experience, and spent an afternoon at the Bar Reef. Both of the resorts are run by the same kind and professional management team.

I had a wonderful stay at Bar Reef Resort. From the first moment I fell in love with that place 😍 The beautiful cabana near the beach with outside bathroom was a fantastic experience. The whole place is recently rebuilt in a very tasteful way. The pool with salt water is very nice to swim and at night it has little star lights; that gave a wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious and I loved having diner on the beach; feet in the sand. All the staff is very friendly and Lakshman did everything to make me feel comfortable and safe (as a female solotraveler). During he gave me a great service and also helped me to get a tuktuk and to get on the right bus to Anuradhapura. I hope to come back to this place.

Very nice place and very friendly staff with Sampath and Mr.Lakshman Awsh Yummy food. Very nice and wooooow. The guy named Sampath did a good job from the start to end. Really want to come back

Amazing stay at Bar Reef Resort! Relaxing and romantic atmosphere, nice and very clean rooms with open air bathroom. But the best part was the team, especially Sampath. He made our stay very special. He was funny and attentive, gave us great advice when it came to choosing dinner (the fish curry served by the pool in the palm pavilions was absolutely amazing), and he was really eager to learn more German. He was happy about every new word we taught him. :) Such a great guy!
