Shan Hai Guan Xianting Calligraphy Hotel（Ancient City Scenic Area)

The hotel is really well located, very charming, quiet, nice furniture, good shower and decent breakfast (chinese option with noodles, soup, baozi, egg etc) and also some bread, butter, coffee and cereal. We were celebrating our anniversary, and they upgraded us for a better room and decorated it. Very thoughtful and kind! The staff was also really kind. On April 19th, there were some renovation in the road in front of the hotel, but apart from the inconvenience of the entrance, it did not bother at all (no noises could be heard from our room) and we could see they will probably finish soon. The hotel is walking distance to many tourists points and 15min Didi drive to the train station, 20min drive to the Old Dragon Head and 15min drive to the Great Wall museum. Walking distance you can find a Lawsun (convenience store) and many restaurants.

Very special and unexpected You can learn calligraphy and the rooms are very historical styl simple very clean. You can open windows. It is a very special and very energetic place. I enjoyed very much

As expected, hotel was great and service was excellent. Located in the heart of Shanhaiguan makes it easy to go everywhere.

This is a lovely hotel. It's very pretty with nice decorated and well-maintained rooms. The location is perfect too. It also had a good restaurant with excellent food and staff. Additionally, the staff really were that great-proactive, helpful and kind. The manager even arranged a shoe-dryer for me-unprompted-when I came in from the rain.
