Wadi Rum Lovers Camp

My husband and I had a great overnight stay in the camp. After our original booking fell through Hilal stepped in and we stayed in a gorgeous tent with a comfy king size bed, glass doors looking out into the desert and our own private bathroom. The dinner was delish, cooked in the Bedouin style in an underground oven with music and dancing to follow! We had a couple of great guides for the tours we booked ~ Oud who brought us on the Sunset tour and treated us to Bedouin tea and cookies; and Haji who was our guide for the half day safari. He knew the desert inside out and brought us to some great locations with fab views. Big thanks to Hilal for fitting us in and providing a great all round service. We had an absolute ball.

It is one of the most beautiful experiences I have had in Jordan, the full day jeep tour with camel + Spannendes Zelt in der Wüste mit toller Aussicht. + - Wir haben eine Nacht auf diesem wunderschönen Campingplatz gebucht Das Camp liegt an einem wunderschönen Ort mitten in der Wüste - Wir hatten ein Luxuszelt. Die Aussicht ist toll, die Zimmer sind geräumig - Abends und morgens kann man vom Bett und vom Balkon aus eine sehr schöne Aussicht genießen - Es gibt wirklich nichts zu beanstanden, die Ausflüge sind erstaunlich und beeindruckend, das beste soziale Erlebnis der Beduinen von allen Ausflügen. Der Reiseleiter Momo verdient besondere Anerkennung für seine Bemühungen und wir werden immer wieder zurückkommen Exciting tent in the desert with a great view. + - We booked one night at this beautiful campsite The camp is in a beautiful spot in the middle of the desert - We had a luxury tent. The view is great, the rooms are spacious - In the evening and in the morning you can enjoy a very nice view from the bed and from the balcony - There really isn't anything to complain about, the trips are amazing and impressive, the best Bedouin social experience of all the trips. The tour guide Momo deserves special credit for his efforts and we will keep coming back

We arrived not knowing what to expect at all from both Wadi Rum or the camping but can honestly say that both are incredible. The tent had a very comfortable double bed and plenty of blankets and towels were offered. The tent was a good size too with plenty of space for luggage. The bathroom was really clean and there are 2 toilets and two showers which are shared. The water was hit both morning and evening. The large dining tent was very traditional with a fire pit in the middle. Food was plentiful, varied, traditional and fresh. The camp is quite far in and the jeep transfer in was really fun. You genuinely feel like you are away from everyone. Waking up to camels roaming about our the tent window was fab. Hylel who owns the business was fantastic, so friendly and he was very attentive to ensure we had a good time. I would highly recommend staying here as you can feel confident that everything will be good. The camp felt safe and we left our hire car at the village fine too. We took the full day tour and were picked up at 09:30 where we travelled in the back if the truck (outside) around Wadi Rum seeing many spectacular sights. The scenery is breathtaking and I actually enjoyed it more than the Grand Canyon. The day finished with the sunset viewpoint (there aren't many places you can see a good sunset due to the rock formations) then back to the camp for a traditionally cooked dinner which was very tasty. Really great experience and well worth the money (which wasn't overly expensive anyway but is more than the tour from the visitor center) as literally everything was included, food water etc. Shukran Hylel

The jeep tour in Wadi Rum was perfect, we saw a lot of nice places and our driver Issam was very friendly and helpful. He cooked a delicios lunch for us, took us everywhere we wanted and had a lot of patience to wait for us (we were a group of 7 and he had to wait a lot after us 😃 ) The camp was ok, with clean bathroom and hot water. Traditional bedouin dinner was delicious, with a lot of fresh vegetables (unexpected for desert). Bedouins prepared a traditional dancing and singing after dinner. Communication with the owner (Halil Al-Balawi) went smoothly on whatsapp, he answered all our questions. He even gave me jordanian tea before leaving home. I totally recommend this camp and the jeep tour.
