Wadi Rum UFO Luxotel - Campsite Reviews

The hotel is located outside of the protected area. However, it’s also very quiet and private that you’ll need to park the car at the meeting point and take the hotel four-wheeled car to go further inside. Staff are friendly and warmly welcomed us. Our bubble is clean and comfy. The restroom is hidden at the back of the wall and has no door. Bathroom amenities are provided but could be better quality. There is time limit to use hot water as the hotel is in the wilderness (until 23:00 hrs. if I’m not mistaken). Our package comes with buffet dinner and it’s quite good. Mostly local dishes. Looks clean and hygienic. Breakfast is decent.

We really enjoyed our stay at UFO Luxotel. One thing to note is that the hotel is not within the Wadi Rum protected area, so it is about 5 minutes drive to the main gate. The hotel does have some partnership with the local bedouins who can take you on a desert or camel tour, but it is better to liaise with the local bedouin on your own. The bubble tents are really nice, made of plastic, comes with a standing shower, washbasin and a comfortable bed. There is air conditioning inside the tent. Outside the tent, there is a hammock and some chairs. At night, the weather in the desert can get quite cold so we enjoyed the special fur blanket provided in the room. There was a stargazing photography course but we did not sign up for it. The food was absolutely delicious, from the dinner with local dishes and underground baked lamb, to the breakfast buffet. Since our tent was quite far from the entrance, there was a buggy to send us to our room. But on the day of the checkout, after calling reception, the buggy took a bit longer than expected. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the desert in these luxury tents, and the price was affordable.

Absolutely loved the stay at Luxotel. From the moment you srrive till you leave, you’re taken care of by a pleasant group of staff. The rooms are clean and nice and words can’t express how unreal the place is. Secluded and you don’t get wifi in the room which keeps you away from the busy life. The food at the restaurant is amazing with a vast array of delectable foods. I thoroughly enjoy the stay. Also, please arrange the 4 hour tour for 70 JOD with the hotel. We had a sunset tour and it was by far the best thing I’ve done today. Loved the stay and the staff and so thankful for making the stay unreal.

The room in the desert has plenty of water in the bathroom, rich meals, and good service! The starry sky at night is breathtakingly beautiful, an unforgettable night

Excellent experience

Not a bad structure, but lacking in many aspects, first of all the lack of evening entertainment and no experiential activities relating to the Bedouin culture of the desert. Good food, average service. We were not thrilled with the price paid compared to the services offered.

Don't demand too much accommodation in a deserted desert. The hotel is generally OK, with two meals included. The taste is so bad that I can only say that I should bring more snacks. You can't drive directly to the hotel. There is a gas station on the road using Google navigation. There is a small red sign next to the gas station, which is where you can take the shuttle bus. The bus stops here. The temperature difference between morning and night is very large in this place, and the wind and sand are also very strong when the weather is bad. It is recommended to bring all kinds of wind and dustproof outdoor equipment, otherwise you will find sand in your ears when you rest at night.

The campsite has a great view, includes a very sumptuous dinner and breakfast, is very cost-effective, has complete room facilities, and provides a unique stay experience. You can book a Jeep tour from the front desk, but remember to bargain.

After ten o'clock in the evening, the campground will turn off the lights in the public areas, and the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye. ! There are hammocks on each tent platform. You can lie down and watch the stars at night. It is very beautiful. The camp can book a jeep desert tour. It is very convenient to set off at any time. There will be a free shuttle bus from the camp to the front desk at the top of the morning.

The facilities are complete, hygienic and clean, the environment is good, the service is very thoughtful, the guy at the front desk speaks very good English, whether it is breakfast or dinner, it is very rich and satisfying!

I think it's okay to live in a tent for a day to see the scenery of Wadi Rum, but it can't be used as a hotel, and the service and cleanliness can't keep up. When we slept at night, the ceiling fell off and was covered in dust, and the hotel didn't even want to clean it at first. Wifi was almost completely dead and it was very, very cold at night despite the A/C on. In addition to the two small bottles of water provided every day, there is a charge for more water, 2jd a bottle. The surrounding scenery is very good, and the meal in the evening is also good.

The facilities are really poor. The air conditioner is not good, and there are no slippers. I asked him that the slippers were used up...

There is a place to make tea, which is nice

The hotel is in a beautiful location, in fact, like all hotels in the area. From the pros, that's all. Terrible service, the staff doesn't care about you at all. We requested a room with a double bed, as a result we got two single beds, which were connected with us (not even before our check-in) plus a third bed, which was absolutely unnecessary. When asked to remove the extra bed, they said that it was screwed on, despite the fact that we ourselves then pushed it away. Everyone is just lazy. Above the bed is a star-view curtain that doesn't work or open. Hot water in the hotel on schedule, from 11 am to 5 pm you will not be able to take a shower. The food is the same as the service except for a couple of dishes. I do not advise
