Hotels Near Orchard Center in Quatre Bornes

I don't recommend the hotel, the swimming pools both are dirty lots of insects in the water, the jacuzzi cold water n dirty too. One can hear lots of noises at night if you are lucky you won't get those rooms it looks like mauritians who get those noisy room as at night you can hear the noise of air con or pump water machine. If you take some dried grapes after breakfast to eat in the terrace you will be told not to take where as I have seen other guests took plate of food. They don't give tea or coffee in the bedrooms but just kettle n cups. The only good thing is the room is clean but they won't clean it everyday. They put very few food for breakfast one can count 15 pieces on the plate and when finished they will replenished it. I didn't feel comfortable during my stay as while I eat my breakfast I can feel them monitoring me. The pictures of the pools have deceived me and my family. More customer service are needed in this place too. The only person who helped me was sanjeev for lifting my luggage when I came to the rooms. I did ask if they serve food at night they said no but I saw guests eating at night and every night I have to take my parents to eat in restaurants which is far from the beach. They do give shuttle car but on some hours and I had to take taxi sometimes.

During this trip to Mauritius, I stayed in a total of 5 hotels, including the popular Prince Hotel and LUX Hotel Mont Monas, but the one with the best overall experience was the cheapest. Of course, its hardware facilities are not comparable to the first two. Compare. The hotel restaurant’s resident kittens are a big part of this. I hope the hotel can treat these kittens well.

I travelled to Mauritius for business in both Feb and March 2020, staying at Villa Anakao for 5 nights and 3 nights respectively. This is an excellent option if you are looking for a quiet, laid back retreat away from the flashy resorts and built-up areas such as Port Louis. As mentioned in previous reviews, staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one. The food is excellent, home-cooked Mauritian dishes each night served outside in a covered eating area by the pool. Breakfast is also good, with eggs cooked to order and fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. As a business traveller I was away for most of the day but it was great to come back in the evening, sit on the verandah with a couple of beers and enjoy a traditional Mauritian dinner each night. For those on holiday, the pool area is simple but clean and well-maintained, and there is a beach a couple of minutes’ walk away. Just to note, I would highly recommend hiring a car if staying here - there aren’t really any shops or restaurants within walking distance and although public buses are frequent, you will have a lot more freedom with a car. Driving in Mauritius is easy, hiring a car is inexpensive and there is secure parking on the premises.

The hotel is not too far from the seaside and it takes half an hour to walk. The price is very reasonable, so this location is ok. Other conveniences are also very good, the only bad thing is that eating is not very convenient. The hotel kitchen is very simple and nothing to eat.

The guess told me the room in bad condition, the cupboard and toilet which they came 3 times to fix, door din work properly and luckily manage to move to others room. However I got mixed up with the booking date n trip.com managed to help me settle without extra fee via live chat. We have just returned from an 11 night stay at the Maradiva. The quality of food, cleanliness of the accommodation and beautiful gardens was exceptional. However, it is the welcome and friendly service you receive from Maradiva that makes it so special. Always greeted by your name, everyone we met always strived to make our stay as perfect as it could be. We would like to express our gratitude to all the staff at Maradiva who are a credit to the hotel. Special mention to the butler staff (Ash, Aki and Dinesh) who were always on hand to help with restaurant bookings and organising trips and activities. Also, to Favour and Joeanne in housekeeping who made sure our accommodation was spotless and cleaned every day. Sam and Oliver at the boathouse for a magical dolphin trip! Hisha at breakfast who always served us with a smile and not forgetting Veen and the beach team for their attentiveness. Thanks also to Dinesh and his team at the beach grill! Finally, thanks to the management team (especially Bertrand and Vincent) who took the time to chat with us at various times throughout our stay, which, to us just highlights how the hotel endeavours to achieve that personal touch. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in paradise, next to a fabulous beach with 5-star service, food and amenities, then the Maradiva pretty much fits the bill. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

The hotel has a good environment and facilities, but the service details need to be improved. There is a hot water bottle, but there is a lot of scale inside. I don't dare to use it.
