Orocco Pier

Stay was perfectly pleasant, staff were friendly and helpful. Few niggly annoyances, though. Coffee cups in the room weren't cleaned after being used in the room - not a big deal but, for the price we paid, I would have expected this. Whilst wifi is available, it doesn't work in the bedroom - signal isn't strong enough. Lack of hanging hooks in the bathroom meant difficult to dry towels and the shower cabinet leaked. We put drinks and food on the bill but, at check out, a 10% service charge was added to every item on the bill - a pint of Belhaven Best that I ordered jumped from £4.95 to £5.45 - by all means add a service charge to dinner but not to every round of drinks and breakfast. Breakfast was 2 coffees, a 'wee breakfast' - 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage and mushroom, a bowl of granola, slice of toast and 2 orange juices - wow, £27.50 then add the service charge so over £30!

Made to feel unbelievably unwelcome. My wife and I brought our kids & another family into to this place for coffee & cake. We were made to feel incredibly unwelcome, so much so, we left before even ordering. The manager told us we weee unable to put one single chair next to a booth so we could all sit down, because it contravened health & safety and they had to ensure people could get round. There was plenty of room & hardly anyone in! They told us we had to sit in a dark corner. Ridiculous Disgraceful behavior. Will never return.

Popped in for something to eat last night (04/03/24). Hadn't been for a long time and wasn't disappointed. Food and service were great. Glad we made the decision and won't wait as long for my next visit. Thanks to Anna for the nice and friendly service. P.S. probably didn't need the Sticky Toffee Pudding but it was very nice!!

I stayed a night as a solo tourist. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, comfortable, warm and cozy the room was. I absolutely loved it and had a great nights sleep. 4 plump pillows, clean sheets and a very clean and modern bathroom. Loved being near the sea and walking the pier. The restaurant breakfast was also delicious. Cannot fault. Worth every penny.

Brilliant food and service. One of our favourite places in South Queensferry. Had lunch, dinner and breakfast here previously and all are delicious The menu is great with a huge choice and the atmosphere in the restaurant is so chilled. If you’re in the area definitely go!

Went for the third time to Orocco Pier and felt I had to write a review. My husband and I book for a chilled overnight dinner bed and breakfast. We arrived early and asked if we could have our inclusive bottle of Prosecco out on the deck. Beautiful view and ordered some delicious nibbles from the bar. When we went up to room we’d been upgraded to a beautiful big room with stunning views of the Forth. Downstairs before dinner for delicious cocktails, then through to restaurant for dinner. Wonderful menu, lots of fresh shellfish! Breakfast is a menu where u order as you like.. perfect. All the staff from check in, to drinks, to dinner, to breakfast, were so nice. We have booked to go back as it’s the perfect recharge with a warm atmosphere. Well done Orocco Pier!

I was only here one night but was very impressed by the whole experience. Check in was smooth and easy and the room clean and tidy and very comfortable. I had a Scottish breakfast in the morning and it was very nice. Again, all the staff were friendly and I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was off season so there were not many other places to go in the evening but you don’t really need to as they have all you need.

Had a lovely overnight stay to celebrate husbands birthday. Room amazing, staff so friendly and helpful. We also had a family dinner in the restaurant menu great choice and the food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend always book a room facing onto the bridges views stunning

My wife and I got married here back in 2012, we return for lunch / dinner atleast once a year and try our best to have an overnighter once every couple of years around our busy family schedule. We absolutely adore this place, the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Nothing is a trouble. We opted for a sea view room which really does complete the stay with a stunning view over the firth of forth and the beautiful forth rail bridge. The rooms are lovely, everything you require and spotlessly clean, can't really ask for much more. The food and drinks at OP are to die for. One of my favourite dishes has always been the squid, I must say this time it wasn't quite as amazing as it used to be but still very tasty. The manager very kindly allowed us to poo back down to the function suite where we got married which was quite emotional as we hadn't been back down there since the big day, a huge thank you for allowing us to do that. We will always continue to support and return to this beautiful hotel, it's extremely classy with a modern twist and as I say the staff will do everything and everything to make your stay fantastic.
