"I had a great stay at the Sherwood. The only downside was the price of laundry. $20 to do a full load and someone moved my laundry without me realizing so I had to pay twice - $30 for one load of laundry 😞. The meal and service was great and I liked the cozy lodge decor."
"The view from our room was amazing. However, there was a beam in the room that obstructed the perfect shot, which made the pictures look annoying. The bed was quite dusty, with dust particles visible on the white linens. Additionally, the room was very small, and the online photos were misleading. The toilet was not clean, the room service only replaced the bath towels on the second day and did not perform basic dusting or vacuuming, which is expected in a hotel setting, not an Airbnb. Overall, the view was the only aspect that made our stay enjoyable."
"The location is just 10-12 minutes walk from Airport and car rentals are within 2-5 min drive. Service is average but facilities is good including car parking and late night checking. In my case the dishwasher was out of work and hotel doesn’t comply it for 5 days of my stay, there is no fault I seen from trip.com as their customer service was tried their best to communicate with Ramada hotel."
"When booking a hotel, I noticed that prices in Queenstown were generally quite high, so I ended up choosing this one. Our building had private bathrooms for each room, but the kitchen was shared. The room itself was a bit small, and the bunk bed mattresses were so thick that I often bumped my head. There's parking available in the hotel's courtyard, but it can get quite tight when there are a lot of guests. The location is a little out of the town center, with quite a few uphill and downhill sections. All in all, considering the price, I was reasonably satisfied."
"I had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park for one night, and it was a delightful experience.
The location of the hotel is excellent—situated close to the airport and within walking distance of a bus stop, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. Whether you're catching an early flight or exploring the stunning scenery of Queenstown, the location is a great advantage.
Though my stay was brief, I found the hotel to be clean, modern, and well-maintained. The room was comfortable, with all the amenities one would expect from a Holiday Inn property, ensuring a restful stay."
"Doubletree was a last minute decision upon arriving Queenstown from Mt Cook. Although it is pricey, no regrets getting a room here for 2 nights. It came with a fully furnished kitchenette where you could do some cooking but didn't utilize this since we ate out. One peeve I don't understand is the need to pay for parking since onsite (NZD$ 16 per nite). There's ample parking and for guests that drive in, this should be complimentary for stay duration.
Location is outside of Queenstown but water taxi available from hotel dock. Recommend for the environment and fantastic room but giving 3 stars for facilities due to need to pay for parking.
Location by the lake allows peace and quiet and also wildlife encounters. Front desk staff during checkin time was very attentive and helpful as well."
"Stunning view of the beautiful Wanatipu lake and mountains. We had the penthouse with spa, absolutely worth it. Good amenities and services. Has free shuttle bus to the town which is very convenient."
"It’s conveniently located within walking distance to the town center. The front desk staff are kind and friendly. The room is simple but has everything you need. There's a kitchen as well, so you can cook your own meals. Parking seems to be on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend securing a spot early."
"Apart from the slightly high price, everything else about the hotel was great. The room facilities and amenities were all brand new, and the bathroom looked like it had just been renovated. It featured a private balcony with a lovely lake view. A bus stop is conveniently located right outside the entrance, and the Milford Sound shuttle bus also makes a stop here."
"We booked a studio room. Trip.com had two photos of this room – one with a window overlooking the garden area, a large, bright room. I was sure they'd give us the same or similar. They gave us a studio room, but watch out, no window! The only light was from the door! It felt like we were living in a basement. There's a window that faces the wall of the reception area, but there's simply no light coming from it. Furthermore, the only window/door faces a trash bin! I simply don't understand how they can rent this room for the same price as a room with a window overlooking the garden.
I was very upset that my husband and I were going to spend five days in such a gorgeous city, and just in a basement! My husband paid almost the same amount for a better room as we did for this one. We could have chosen a completely different, better hotel for that kind of money.
I consider this a deception of the guest, both by the hotel and trip.com."

Amazing
MMoodyMerryStayed at Quest Queenstown with my best friend and we absolutely loved it! The apartment was clean, modern, and had everything we needed—comfy beds, a small kitchen, and even laundry facilities. It was a cozy and relaxing space to come back to after a day of adventures.
One of the best parts was how convenient the location was. The Orbus stop was just a short walk away, making it super easy and affordable to get to Queenstown CBD and the airport without needing a car. Perfect for travellers!
The staff were friendly and check-in was quick and easy. We also had a stunning view of the mountains right from our room.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful yet well-connected stay in Queenstown. Would definitely come back!
GGuest UserIt was beyond my expectation. It was so beautiful. It faced the huge lake in Queenstown. The facilities were very good, including dishwasher, washing machine, bathroom, bedding, and the view. Most importantly, the price was much better than those hotels with direct beach access.
CclaraqHoliday Inn Queenstown Frankton is generally good except for the many stairs. The rooms are up on a slope and without an elevator. Will not recommend for elderly folks like us. Breakfast spread though small, but tasty. Our room has a great view of the lake and mountain. Occasionally, we could see planes landing as the hotel is very near the airport.
GGuest UserI felt the hospitality and warmth of the staff and crew of Mi-Pad Queenstown Hotel. I have stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and the price was not bad. I'm a first time solo traveller and paid around $500 ish for a private bedroom with my own private bathroom at level 6. The room that I stayed in was neat and tidy . They always arrange the bed for me everyday and provide me fresh new towels.
Shoutout to the staff, Gordon, he is such a nice person, and had good chats with him. He's welcoming, warm and give very sweet vibes.
For first time solo travellers like myself who do not want to do hostels or shared dormitories, this is a great place to stay in. Will definitely come back!

AA&R TravelsStayed 3 nights and overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the private hot tub is an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles.
Hhl****I had a wonderful two-night stay at Melbourne House. The room was exceptionally clean, and having a sink inside was very convenient. The shared bathrooms and toilets were also spotless, modern, and beautifully maintained. There's a lovely communal lounge overlooking the lake with fantastic views, equipped with a microwave, oven, dishes, and cutlery, making it easy for guests to prepare simple meals. You can sit on the balcony just outside the lounge and enjoy your meal while admiring the beautiful Queenstown lake scenery; it truly enhances the dining experience. Indeed, this place is perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me when I lost my backpack and, with it, my daily medication. I was deeply touched by their kindness and want to express my heartfelt thanks. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
Ssuper酷酷鴨Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.
EEphywoldI had 3 night Copthorne Hotel and Resort
Queenstown Lakefront the room is clean and basic the bed comfortable l had a good sleep the room to big even had a good seating area coffee tea in the room TV had variety of choices however the bathroom that not that great they need to get rid of that bath basin I am not sure what is purpose? The shower curtain so cheap common if you charge your guests a top dollars you can afford a decent shower curtain it New Zealand not a 3rd world country. All the Wi-fi so terrible even basic email take time to download also what is deposit for if you don't have any minibar in the room? I think all those can improve a good management I had pizz one night taste good anyway this Queenstown accommodation always in short that way they don't care still a good place to crush a big hot two.
AAnonymous UserIt is a lakefront hotel, making it easy to enjoy a walk around Queenstown. Although the accommodation is older, it’s kept clean and tidy. The reception was a bit hard to find, so you need to drive slowly to avoid missing it. We were lucky enough to stay on a lower level, which meant fewer stairs to access our room. The only downside was some noise from next door—guests seemed to enjoy karaoke until midnight, which was a bit bothersome. Nonetheless, it’s a nice hotel to stay at for a family of five.
TTortelliniIt’s a huge hostel in the prime part of queenstown so it’s a mixed bag on who you’ll be sharing a room with. There isn’t really anywhere to put your things in the room and need your own lock for the small safety cabinets, and sharing 2-4 outlets with everyone in the room, but it’s clean and the bed is fine.
