Right on one of the main streets of old downtown - the noisiest hotel I have ever been in. Traficc thru closed windows kept me up all night. Mgmt changed rooms for me to a side street room - still too noisy to enjoy. Quite cheap, and was clean, but ended up walking away from my last two paid nights so I could sleep before my next round of flights.

Lovely staff, lovely clean hotel, great location. A clean secure hotel in the heart of Quito old town for under $20 a night - how can you say no to that !?

I arrived at the hotel around 7pm. I couldn't find the hotel for a while as there aren't any lights in the building as expected. I walked past it couple of times and realized the issue. There is one small lit doorway open at night - looked more like walking into a corner store. The hotel charged me 10% surcharge for using a credit card. (YES 10% - this is not mentioned in the third party reservation page). Very uncomfortable pillows. iron bars on the room door and room window - says something about security. (see pics). Nothing is open around the hotel at night - not even a place to get a cup of coffee.

Clean, friendly staff. No perks nothing extra.. clean room friendly staff. Area is rough after hrs, noisy at night but overall ok. Be in by 7 should be fine. When leaving and returning be alert. It’s not unsafe just common sense
