Friends Hotel & Rooftop - Historic Center & Museums

Such a great location in the old town of Quito. The staff are all so welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic and all food freshly prepared. The views from the Rooftop eatery is spectacular. There are lovely restaurants close by and a large supermarket is also very close. I would recommend Friends Hotel and Rooftop if you are looking for authentic Ecuadorian accommodation that is very clean and tidy. I really enjoyed my stay in Quito.

I loved this place. The location is fantastic - a few minutes and you are in the centre of the old town. You feel this is a street where the locals live and shop. You need to appreciate it is a 3 star hotel, no lift and the rooms are comfortable but not flashy. The staff are very friendly with great English. The rooftop breakfast was great. This area can used to have a drink in the evening and enjoy the great view. There is also a common area on the ground floor. I especially liked our room layout as I was staying with my sister and there were 2 bedrooms with seperate ensuites and a small lounge. Great value and thought recommended

We stayed here on our way to the Galapagos and our return. It is a beautiful,wonderful, clean friendly hotel. They went out of their way to make everything perfect from picking us up at the airport to planing tours ;even keeping a picture I bought in Quito until we returned from the Galapagos, it was in our new room when we returned. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. And don’t forget to eat a delicious breakfast. It is very tasty and filling with a very sweet personalized touch for every patron. And again everyone smiles and is so friendly! You don’t feel like just a guest but like family. I highly recommend Friends Rooftop Hotel in Quito … and don’t miss the breakfast!

We stayed at Friends Hotel and Rooftop. Check in was great, local area explained and room facilities walked through. Tea and Coffee in the room and at stations in the hotel. Good location, attentive staff. Breakfast is lovely, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. Highly recommended. Pedestrian Street, walkable to all local sites, laundry just down the road.

Breakfast was AMAZING! Everything was fresh and delicious! The view also is lovely. A perfect way to start your day!

This place was perfect. We had a quick trip but Yale helped with arrangements. We had a great nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast. I would definitely come back to FRIENDS.

The hotel is unique and lovely. The breakfast was delicious, cultural to the landscapes, the view is spectacular and beautiful. Our room is spacious with comfortable beds. I’m traveling with a friend and our stay has been wonderful so far.
