The place is good for hiking. Has entertainment places for both adults and kids. The staff is so kind and welcoming. Swimming pool is wow. Food so delicious and the place welcoming. Spa available for massage. Good place for resting and peace

This was our first time at Kiara Lodge, and we will definitely be coming back! We were specifically looking to spend some quality time with our boys aged 4 and 18 months, and Kiara Lodge did not disappoint. There is so much to do for the children! I will admit we spent most of the time around the pool complex, but that was exactly what we wanted. The kids could play in a safe environment and we could relax. The water slides dont end in a pool but rather in the slide trough, which makes it super safe. There is an app challenge for the kids. There is a game and play room for when it rains. There is a play park. The restaurant has wonderful, tastey meals. Our chalet was modern and clean with everything working perfectly. Honestly, it is one of the best break away holidays we have had as a family!

lovely accommodation- meets all the basic needs and is comfortable- good self-catering option for kids- lovely onsite restaurant available as well. huge resort with lots of activities. very peaceful, can get busy during peak season. very accomodating staff.

We loved staying here. We were pleasantly surprised when we had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Very comfortable and clean. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Loved the pool area, but pick your time. Was much quieter during the week. The restaurant staff were amazing and supplied delicious food to us for a braai at our unit and they even delivered it. We also had excellent service from Karen. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant.

Kiara Lodge is one of those Resorts that you cannot just visit once. It’s creeps into your heart and becomes a regular “home away from home” holiday destination. From the amazing staff to the units and resort facilities, everything is absolutely incredible. The surroundings are truly breath-taking. This resort has something for everyone and to those planning a trip to Kiara Lodge, get ready for the most amazing holiday – you’ve made the right choice!

We visit Kiara every year and love it more each time we are there. Warm water swimming pool and on site restaurant are a huge bonus. The units are beautifully presented and of the finest quality. Clarens is just a stone's throw away as are many other interesting places and activities.

Heaven for kids, paradise for adults/parents. So many things to do. Staff super efficient , nice & helpful. Amazing spa premises , service on a 100 & at affordable prices. When booking treatments pls make sure steam room is a part of your package, You won’t regret it. I already miss having my morning tea at the balcony with bunnies playing,Mountain Views with the sun coming up. So peaceful.

We had a fantastic stay at Kiara Lodge 7-14 July 2023. The facilities are well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. The fireplace in the unit was well appreciated during the cold evenings. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails and beautiful scenery. On Thu 13-Jul, we made a booking at The Melt restaurant for dinner for our party of 6 people. The booking was written in the book for the previous day by mistake, so when we arrived, there was no table available for us since the restaurant was very busy. The team at the restaurant asked us to give them a few minutes to find a solution. Within a few minutes they prepared a table in the wine cellar, this was excellent customer service. I have one suggestion to make the stay even better. The shower in the main bedroom of unit 69A is designed without a door. The glass wall covers less than half of the width of the shower and this wets the floor of the bathroom quite a bit. The tile floor becomes very slippery when wet and requires a cleanup with towels after every shower. It will be good to re-look at the design of the shower, perhaps consider a sliding door. For the price we paid I expected a chalet like those on the website. Unfortunately we were placed in an apartment with people above us. It didn't have a log burner (for which we had bought the logs already In anticipation, it being freezing at night). The gas heater was not sufficient and the gas ran out on the last evening. The apartment also had a few breakages which we mentioned, one being an ugly burn mark on the couch. I felt like our experience would have been a whole lot better if we were placed in one of the other chalets that are advertised. I wish I'd said something on day1. The restaurant is beautiful but 2 out of 4 of the meals we ordered were terrible, such a shame because the venue is lovely. The water slides were only open on the last day and the water was freezing cold in the slides. Kids had a great time, I would recommend it for families if you get the right chalet and not apartment 18C.
