Jackson House B&B

Our stay at Jackson House was wonderful! It is evident that our hosts really enjoy what they do. They checked off the boxes for guest comfort and then went over the top with some extras: fresh baked cookies & drinks available all day, an alarm clock/phone charger combo, elevated soaps and toiletries, a good quality mattress with a variety of pillows for personal preference. We also appreciated the time that our host took in visiting with us . . . and don't get us started on how delicious the breakfast was!

History and modern comfort perfectly blended! Amanda and Damien welcomed us like old friends and accommodated our early arrival . The rooms were pristine and offered WiFi, TV and quaint bathroom. All while furnishing with beautiful antiques and flavor of old. Our stay was complete with a generous and perfectly prepared breakfast! We definitely recommend!!

The Jackson room was BEAUTIFUL! It was very clean, had a king size bed, great linens, and two walls were exposed stone from the original 1850’s building. Quiet and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious!! Damon is a terrific chef who blends ingredients, that are locally grown, in unique ways. And presentation is so elegant. His oatmeal, sour cherry, coconut and chocolate chip cookies are to die for. AND, he wouldn’t share his recipe!! 😊😉 It’s an amazing stay with a grown up atmosphere in the only town in America called Railroad. Enjoy your stay!

An exemplary B & B. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped in this historic building. Parlor is pretty and inviting. Breakfast was very good. Natural setting is lovely. Located right on the Heritage trail, it's a perfect location for biking the trail. Be aware that the Jackson House is located right on the road with fairly constant traffic. Hosts are friendly in the best way--great to talk with but also respectful of quiet and privacy. We are happy to recommend it.

This bed and breakfast was one of the best places I've ever stayed in. The Cottage was clean, spacious, very functional and a great place to relax with the huge and open porch and hottub. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bathroom was nice and spacious for two. The interior was decorated with some cool vinatge pieces, which only added to the comforting feeling. I love how this place sits right next to the railroad, a park and some trails. When we were sitting in the hottub, a train went by with passengers on it, which made the stay even more special! The innkepper who made us breakfast in the morning was very nice and it was fun to make small talk during breakfast. When we had to check in later then what they are used to, it was no problem at all-- you just have to call them and let them know! They are very accomdating, and you can tell they want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The 2 breakfasts we had were delicious, and the drinks (soda, coffee, etc) during any hours of the day is a nice thing to have!!! I would 100% come back here, and I hope I do someday!

We chose this B&B for proximity to our destination, a family party nearby. Turned out to be a great choice. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and everything in it was in good working order. Innkeeper was friendly and hospitable. We packed bathing suits for the hottub, but the weather was too cold during our visit. We’ve stayed in many B&B’s, and this one is very well-run. There is a good crab house, Captain Bob’s, within easy walking distance - you might not expect this in PA Dutch country, but you’re only a few miles north of the Maryland border.

The Jackson House is a wonderful place to stay! Located right along the Heritage Trail, was great for a walk, run, or bike ride. The proprietors are lovely and accommodating people. Super comfortable bed, a hot tub to relax in, and the breakfasts were delicious (and personally tailored to my allergies). It’s a great place to stay.

these hosts are very gracious and the food was (as always) delicious. a great start to our bike-riding day. we did use the hot tub and noticed that the filters were very dirty and the pillows in our room were flat, but other than that - we love these accomodations and the fact that they will allow dogs.

Beautiful old historic place with well-appointed rooms, comfortable and clean. We stayed in the Garden Room. It was nice to have the sitting room extra, next to the bedroom. EXCELLENT breakfast served the next morning. All around a beautiful and satisfying stay overnight. We shall return in the future. HIGHLY recommend!!
