Unfortunately, I hadn't read the negative reviews before I booked our stay at the Rainbow Sea Resort. While our suite had stunning views over the ocean and was attractively decorated in a Hamptons/beachy style, as shown in the promotional photos, those were the only positives. The bathroom and kitchen were in dire need of a thorough deep clean; there was grime and black mould in the bathroom, and a very unpleasant smell in the kitchen. I should also point out that, although the Resort's website states that guests can book tours at the front desk, this is no longer the case.

Beautiful views from the large apartment. We liked the added extra of the water and ice filter on the fridge. Overall an outstanding stay.

The apartment was generally great but I was very disappointed with a few things regarding to cleanliness. The master bedhead was full of stains as was the coverlets over the single beds. The hot water also didn’t go very hot which was disappointing as we had super cold weather. Other than that, the apartment was clean, had an amazing view of the ocean and the pool was heated.

No blinds in living area and not private. Blinds in bedroom had a big gap in centre. Apart from that the property was beautiful.

Would highly recommend this property. The view from our balcony was incredible. Easy 5 min stroll to the beach and surf club. We will be back!

We contacted reception at 9am and asked for some toilet paper and were told it would be brought to the apartment. By 3.30 pm it had still not been delivered and we left and note at the reception desk asking for some to be delivered as there was nobody there. At 5.30 we went back down to ask again and they had gone home. We phoned the 24 hour number who also could not help. The service is non existent and surely the delivery of a couple of toilet rolls is not that hard.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful room with views over Rainbow Beach, a short walk into town. The room was a beautiful apartment with nice modern furniture and so much space. Space everywhere. Spacious room, spacious lounge room, kitchen, huge deck. Sitting in the spa bath looking out over the view was delightful. Undercover carpark and plenty of space for taller 4wd parking as well. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful.
