Overall, the park is nice, it’s a nice area & the grounds are pleasant. However, if you are wanting to avoid being bitten by midges & mosquitoes this isn’t the place for you. We cut our stay short due to the relentless midges… NOTHING stopped them, we brought every available repellent though nothing worked… our whole family was covered in bites from head to toe! Other people staying had the same experience - many resorting to using things like WD40 and any other products that they could get their hands on. Unfortunately to no avail. We’ve camped all around Australia & while we have encountered midges before, nothing compares to inundation of these ones. So, if you don’t enjoy the burning and itching sensation from insect bites steer clear of this park during midge season. On another note, the bathrooms could do with a little more attention, the showers have a decent amount of mould, though they are fairly clean otherwise. The camp kitchen is nice & reasonably clean. As others have said, there is no pool & during summer it’s fairly warm - so the park would benefit from adding a pool. There is a fair amount of trees for shade & the wildlife is nice to see - lots of bush turkeys, lace monitors & birds of prey. The water front also has many stingrays, which the kids enjoyed seeing. 😊
