Comfort Inn Raleigh Midtown

Location of the hotel was good! Near a lot of grocery stores and food, so it was easy to do shopping at night. Near a bus that goes to downtown Raleigh as well

We were in town for our daughter’s soccer showcase. This hotel was conveniently located and the room was very clean and tidy. Only downside is the room was a little small.  Breakfast was the usual continental offerings and cleanliness is a high priority with individually wrapped apples, utensils and cups.  Staff was friendly and accommodating.

OUR TRIP EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. 'tHERE ARE ONLY 2 COMPLAINTS: 1. Because my husband is an amputee, we asked for a handicap equipped room. However, the toilet was not handicap status and was very difficult for him to use. 2. When we were preparing to leave, we were unable to procur a luggage cart and had to haul all our luggage to the car. Otherwise, we were very pleased and will be making reservations for the Christmas holidays. Sincerely, Ellen Byrum

They hotel was very clean and staff was very nice. I don’t recommend booking through Trip.com. I booked and prepaid several days before arriving and the room that I had booked was unavailable. The hotel said they reached out to trip.com to let them know that I wouldn’t have a room and to contact me. Instead I got confirmation emails stating my room was available for check in. The hotel was very nice and helped me get an available room with not additional cost but trip.com refused to do any kind of refund for they different room.

Location: Hotel is in a great, convenient location. Close to stores, restaurants, and things to do. Professionalism & staff: I wish we would gotten the names. They are some unfriendly people at the desk! The housekeeping staff are very professional & hospitable. I hate to describe them this way but there was 1 black guy who was there when we checked out at 6am on Sunday morning 2/22 that was very nice & even spoke. Professional & hospitable. 1 Hispanic guy when we came in from an evening out on 2/21 that spoke & was pleasant. Those were the only two that made us feel welcome. The rest, literally have no people skills. Won't even speak when you speak. The Hispanic girl is rude and discourteous and has no business being at the front desk! She was annoyed after getting off the phone with a customer complaining about their bill, and was short & unwelcoming. Anytime we came down, she was just unpleasant. Someone got stuck in the elevator. They work how they look. Suspicious & old, never updated. The hotel itself needs to be painted inside. Doors/ hallway looks worn, unkept, and old. The halls look creepy, like on the shining. Outdated. Paint could go a long way. Our room was clean. Shower was very clean, but slippery. Be careful. Sheets & bedding clean & was verycomfortable Again, house keeping is so pleasant and helpful. Room 502: The toilet is old & needs replacing. Lowwww to the floor. Flushes very slowly & had to be flushed multiple times. Spots in them that are most likely permanent. Just replace it! Room 502: The sofa/ Chaise needs to be REMOVED! Thrown out! Not even donated! It's so unsanitary! It screams bugs, tetanus, scabies if you sit on it! Stains! Spills & creamy stains! Gross! Disgusting Remove it! I wouldn't put anything on it, let alone lay or sit on it. Replace it with p/u leather Or vinyl chairs. The rest of the room was ok. Fine! Breakfast was very good. Breakfast area nice, clean spacious. Sausage, eggs, waffles, juice, yogurt, fruit, bagels, toast. Price point of hotel very affordable. Would pay a bit more for minor upgrades.
