Had a fab weekend stay to celebrate our 1st anniversary where we got married. Rob, Alex and the rest of the staff made sure we enjoyed our 1st anniversary and were always happy to help. Food was fab and the card/surprise left in our room to congratulate us was very thoughtful. Was nice to see some old faces from our wedding and lots of new ones. Definitely recommend this hotel due to the staff, location, spa facilities and food. Fab for a weekend stay and also a great venue for weddings! Thanks for everything, from Shareece and Ryan 🥰

The staff are excellent couldn't do enough for you went above and beyond. A special mention to Alex and Ben they were very hard working very friendly and nothing was to much trouble thanks Alex and Ben. The food was excellent the room was clean and comfortable just a little tired had a great 2 days away.

Stayed with my partner on the all inclusive deal. I upgraded to a four poster room . This was really nice . We found all the staff to be really friendly and very helpful. We used the pool jacuzzi sauna and steam room towels and locker keys were provided at reception. A 2 course meal was included in the price . The food was really nice and well presented . Drinks were included 6/11 the lager was becks i didn’t like it so had spirits instead . Breakfast the next day was gorgeous a freshly cooked full English . Cereal fruit tea coffee and juice was self service . We had a lovely stay and will definitely return

Just returned from a nights stay in this hotel with my sister. Hotel looks quite shabby outside and very dated inside. Needs a lot of refurbishing though some positive points. Room was ok. Tea coffee and biscuits provided in room in drawer with lots of crumbs etc not cleaned out from previous occupants. Beds were very clean and comfortable. Room warm once radiator was put on. Furniture shabby and dated. Bathroom and shower were fine. Needed to ask for another hand towel and more milk and guy on reception was lovely. Brought towel , milk and extra biscuits to room very quickly. Wine tasting- not a great experience at all.😥 Basically Ben pouring 4 glasses of wine for us- felt quite rushed at times. Wanted to pour 2nd white when we hadn't finished 1st one. Went on like that.Difficult to assess wines as no basic nibbles provided- not even a bit of cheese or crisps as everyone knows wines taste different after a bit of food.! Hint to Ben fell on deaf ears. We had to guess which countries wine came from. Got 3 out of 4 right. Ben gave no extra info re wines. Wouldn't recommend this "wine tasting" to anyone! We felt very disappointed. Evening meal was ok. 2 courses. Dining room very cold. Ben said maybe food would warm us up!!! No a**osphere here. Dining room big with comfy sofas available which were nice. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was fine- full English though didn't enjoy the chewy sausage. We had previously been to Higher Trapp hotel in this group and on balance prefer it to the Old Mill.

I can't say anything positive about this hotel, it's location was the best thing but I would rather stay further away than stay here again! On arrival I said I was here to check in and I was met immediately with 'Check in isn't until 3pm' he didn't even ask my name to check so had to tell him I had paid for an early check in, received no apology! The gentleman did help me with our bags though, just as well as the room was up 4 flights of stairs, through the bar and restaurant, over the kitchen. I was staying with my 5 and 6 year old boys and had booked a family room. I really don't know where to start in terms of cleanliness however I did see some mold starting above one of the windows. The decoration was tired and in desperate need of upgrading. Everywhere I looked it needed a deep clean. I have worked in hotels for 30 years and have never seen a hotel in so much need of a renovation. I had booked a BB rate but didn't stay for breakfast as everything felt so dirty. The rate was £134.00BB including a £10 charge for early check in, an absolute rip off given I wouldn't let me children take their socks off in the room!

We had a lovely five night stay, the staff here are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. The hotel itself could do with some TLC, nothing corporate to spoil its charm, just a general facelift and new stair carpets. Special mention to Ewan , Jack, Rob and Zoe. Thank you for looking after us so well. Also thanks to the chef who made me the perfect poached eggs each morning !

The hotel is in a lovely location and close to the town centre. The staff are friendly. BUT the place is very shabby. The carpets are worn out with holes in them and tape sticking it together in places. The hotel looks like it needs a complete refurbishment. It has the potential to be a fabulous place but instead it's just tired & rundown. Our room was very shabby and the shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold. We couldn't use it so had to wait till we got home to have a shower. Breakfast was just ok, but the staff at breakfast were very friendly .Its a shame because this hotel could be great.

This was our second visit and as before we were welcomed very warmly again and checking in was super quick. As always all staff were very helpful and friendly from the various personnel on the reception to the cleaning ladies. Room was very spacious and immaculate, beds, as before, super comfortable with lovely crisp sheets. Pillows were ok , facilities were as you would expect for this star rating and the spa is a welcome bonus. People were so friendly and the afternoon tea and spa break was highly recommended so we will definitely incorporate high tea next time we visit which hopefully will not be too long. For anyone with advanced mobility issues there is a problem with not having a lift and all bedrooms are up at least one flight of stairs however I have to use a crutch for walking and did not find it a problem especially when the lovely young gentleman on reception took my case upstairs for me. Well done to all staff and thank you for a wonderful second visit. You surpassed yourselves!!!

Was so nice for me and my family, so cosy, excellent food and staff so nice people , i felt so good in our room everything was perfect to bad because was only 1 night but i will book again in very short time , great time to the pool AMAZING ❤️
