The Royal Harbour Hotel

This hotel is full of character and in a great location overlooking the harbour. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We had a self check in which was straightforward and trouble free. Good choice of restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Home from home.. the rooms got lots of character.. friendly and welcoming staff.. cozy bedding.. clean and tidy and the harbour and sea front is on your door step ideal place to stay ... Close to fab restaurants feel nice and secure just a lovely place to relax 😊

Beware Arrived at the hotel at 8 pm expecting the advertised amenities. Only saw one member of staff who had to ring someone to find out if there was any breakfast available. There was no breakfast service at all even though this was advertised. I asked if we might use the lounge and bar only to be told this was not open as it was winter and too quiet to open. So there was nowhere to sit or have a beverage. Phoned the manager as by this time there was no member of staff to talk to and he suggested we try the pub around the corner and couldn't understand why we were disappointed that none of the facilities were operational. Left at 7.30am next morning to try and find something to eat and drink for breakfast. This is not what I expect when I book a hotel advertised as having a breakfast service and bar/lounge.

After checkout the hotel send me a final statement, and charge my creditcard. Unfortionally they took more than the statement was. I sent them an email to correct this, but they never answered the email. After several times, there was no choice to file a creditcard complain. This is still under investigation. Until today I never received any email of them. It is just 40 GBP, but they don't care. Nice location with a lookover the harbour, but that it is! Next year Ramsgate, but for sure no Royal Harbour Hotel! Tourist trap!

Not quite sure how people can give good reviews on this property. Definitely not worth the money charged! Stayed 2nights, no room cleaned & No change of sheets or towels during stay. only a couple of stations working on TV. 1/2 of a toilet roll. Rooms are very small. Their garden view is looking out onto a yard and overlooking house roofs. Uncomfortable bad and quilt very lumpy. No breakfast. This is not a hotel more like a room only.

This hotel is beautifully sited above the harbour. The decor is fun - a lovely mix of old furniture and prints/paintings which I rather liked. My room was at the front - they weren't busy so I was upgraded. This was excellent with a four poster, harbour views, good sofa and chairs, even a TV over the bath. Reception was friendly, the downside being that the place is effectively closed to arrivals until 4pm. I suspect this was because it was quiet (mid-week) and only mildly annoying as I had advised I wouldn't arrive until later. Sadly it didn't do food, but there's a lot of decent options nearby for dinner and breakfast. Stay again? Certainly, but plan my arrival time accordingly.

Lovely hotel that is beautifully situated over looking the harbour. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. We were greeted warmly by the reception team and we had booked a room on the 3ed floor so we even had a member of staff help us with bags. Room was as expected was small but as advertised but all clean. Only downside we had is that we stayed for two nights and we did not have anyone come in and freshen up towels or tea and coffee facilities, we had to ask for toilet roll and some water as no water was provided in room which is unusual.

We booked the hotel very last minute, and it was such a pleasant experience. We arrived at 1am and the lovely man let us in without any stress. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and very quaint english style. Beds very comfortable, quiet room - would HIGHLY recommend. Thank you so much we will be back
