It was an amazing experience! We were greeted nicely, everyone was attentive to our needs. The guys at the front desk did everything for us, when we needed them. The only thing I can complain about, was the cleanliness of our room. I guess it depends on who is doing the cleaning. Our guy, didn’t do a good job. I told him once to clean under the bed, but it was just that one time. In the shower, in the drain, there was still hair from the people before us. Not once, he took it. My husband did it for me. I complained about this in the survey note they gave us to fill out. I guess they didn’t read it, otherwise they would’ve have it done. The restaurant had good food, something different every night. One thing that bothered us and all the guests (I asked everyone I could) is that they’re building a pool, which makes no sense at all. We chose this place because it had no pool. It’s going to loose the feeling that you’re living in a small jungle. I’m not sure if we’re coming back again here because of the pool. You don’t need a pool when you’ve got the whole Indian Ocean for yourself. The reef is beautiful, you can still see where the Tsunami hit 20 years ago. I guess it’s still recovering. In the 20 first minutes we were snorkeling, we saw a turtle and a black tip shark. The colors of the corals are beautiful and the marine life is abundant. All in all, we had an amazing time and we are thankful for it!

For us it was the first time in the Maldives and we had been offered different types of islands and resorts, in the end the chosen exhibition fell on this small island, as we wanted to avoid places that were too crowded and noisy, certainly there is no place for children here it's a lot to do other than stay in the sea all day looking at fish. The colors of the sea are fantastic, and every morning we woke up to a spectacle of nature from our bungalow on the beach! Beach of very fine sand, which, also due to the shape of the island, is wide in some places and narrower in others but I must say that any area has its beauty, both towards sunset and towards sunrise! All the staff are very kind, you have to make do with English, so if you speak it well you won't have any problems! We can't say enough good things about the restaurant too, we always ate and drank well (even with ice) without ever having the slightest problem! Even though we are not real expert swimmers, we still managed to enjoy the reef, with the corals which, despite being bleached like in almost all the other Maldivian islands due to the well-known problems of warming of the seas, in some places are colorful and with fish of all kinds, we swam with small sharks and large turtles! The only flaw, but just to want to nitpick, is feeling the smell of burning at some moments of the day, also depending on the wind, perhaps due to the generator and/or incinerator that they have to use for some reason and this sometimes ruins the heavenly atmosphere! It was the best holiday ever taken and so ANGAGA in the ❤️!!

We had the best time at Angaga. The first step we took on the island was the beginning of a perfect Holiday. We got an upgrade to the new premium water bungalows. They are amazing!! Waking up and going to sleep on the ocean is amazing. Scanning the water and seeing sharks, manta’s, sting rays and so much more… A special thanks to Naja for keeping our room picture perfect and super clean. He is so friendly!! Every body on the island is friendly and helpfull so we got totaly relaxed to! The food was great! Everything super frech and yummy. Great salades, fish and curry’s and again realy friendly people that serve the food! You dont even have to go far to see amazing fish. There is an amazing reef right there, Its like swimming in a big aquarium. And when You do take a trip of the island everything is realy organized! Thank you to everybody at Angaga for giving us a beautifull holiday, we left with an amazing feeling and super relaxed!!

We had an unforgettable holiday on Angaga. The superior bungalows left nothing to be desired. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the right place. There are also plenty of opportunities for exciting day trips and to get to know the underwater world better. Very friendly people who work on the island. Appreciation for a slower paced world is present every day...a holiday where you can put everyday life into the background and find the meaning of life. Angaga is perfect for that. The food is also good...if not gourmet...but that is not what we were looking for...You should book all inclusive...as drinks are rather expensive.

This is a desert island, peaceful and tranquil, wonderful staff and lovely food. The staff are dedicated, polite, and proactive to your every wish and need. I wish to give a special mention to Samon for his professional manner behind the bar, his kindness, and attention. He is a real credit to Angaga. I do not have one bad word about the staff. We had two vegetarians in our group and given some lovely special meals. The waiters were very attentive and a credit to Angaga. The rooms were always kept tidy. I must, however, add a negative note, but I must also add this not any fault of Angaga. My travel agent did not inform me of weight limits on the seaplane. I subsequently was charged an additional $140. Please check with your travel agent about this. I wish to convey my deepest gratitude for my time there and thoroughly recommend Angaga

We stayed at this hotel in January 2024 - 8 nights, meal type FB, 2 adults and a child. This is our 7th trip to the Maldives and 5th hotel. On this trip, we combined a vacation with a week on the neighboring island of Vilamendhoo (we had already vacationed there a year ago). Transfer between the islands was carried out on the Angaga boat. Angaga was the second hotel on this trip. Upon arrival at the hotel, I immediately noticed some sad faces of the employees. Somehow it reminded me of some 4 star Egypt. Usually the Maldives also pleased us with the super positive attitude of the employees, perhaps we got too greedy, I don’t know. This is probably our first of 5 hotels visited, where you don’t feel sincere goodwill on the part of the hotel staff, and they don’t do anything bad, everything is fine, but the feeling is that they don’t get pleasure from their work. Although they seem to say hello, and even smile sometimes, there is somehow a feeling that this does not come from the heart, but because the boss ordered it. The cleaner can only come at 2 or 3 o’clock in the afternoon, you tell him, now it’s inconvenient to clean - he says, you can do it in the evening, you say, okay, let’s do it in the evening, although in principle you are not satisfied with this, but he doesn’t come in the evening. What advantages did I see: - in NG the price is high, of course, but in general by Maldivian standards this is a budget hotel. - cheap excursions. Alas, 2 of them were canceled due to weather; we only went fishing. - a wonderful lagoon with easy entry into the sea and good depth, but there was also wind and waves there. - our villa was 2 floors - spacious. - the plumbing in the room is fresh, everything works. - the reef is decent in size, area and condition, there are plenty of fish. I don’t understand those who write that the reef is dead, no, not dead by local standards, but I have not been to the Barrier Reef. - inexpensive drinks (1 liter of dry house wine - $26) - the food does not shine with a variety of culinary delights, but overall it is tasty, there is always fish, beef and chicken, they are prepared in different ways, often the meat is spicy. I had tuna sashimi a couple of times. Cool sweets made from dried fruits, ice cream for lunch. The vegetable table is quite varied. - the restaurant is not noisy, there is no feeling or buzz of a canteen. What I didn’t like - the villas on the shore are tired, the pillows are cheap, old and uncomfortable, the mattress is cheap and there are clearly not many springs in it, the bed is ancient and creaky. Noise insulation is poor, the noise of the waves was quite strong at night. - you understand, the tiles in the bathroom are not modern, but I’m sure German pensioners like them. - 0.5 liters of water per person per day in the room, in plastic bottles. - water in the restaurant is always paid (about 5 dollars for 1.5 liters) - the diesel generator is quite noisy - you can always hear the hum. - on the beach in the area of the house there was periodically the smell of, to put it mildly, sewage. - ants broke into our villa, there is dichlorvos in the room, we used it once, because about 30 of them came. - They regularly burn something, probably garbage, very often there was a burning smell in the area of the house. - if you snorkel from the pier to the right branch there are no watermen
