Moosehead Lodge

All in all, it did the job. I was meant to have a different room that became unusable and they had to switch me to another available room at the last minute, which they were communicative about. I’ll start with the pros: The location was good and there were very few options, so I was appreciative of having a place to stay. The restaurant across the street doesn’t look like much but it was delicious! The cons: the mud outside the cabin made it very hard to get our stuff out without getting pretty filthy. Then inside they had a small hand towel on the floor for us to wipe our shoes on and take them off. The carpet was a bit dirty already so didn’t feel great about walking around in my socks. The bed was like a pullout couch from the 1960s - my feet were raised above my head when I laid down in the bed. The lights were mostly bright white/almost fluorescent, which made everything look pretty harsh. The TV didn’t work, the bathroom was freezing, and there were holes in the curtains that kinda creeped me out.

It was clean, cute and quiet.

Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Nice seating are with the recliners. Electric heater kept the room really comfortable. No extra roll of toilet paper :(

Moosehead lodge is a great place to stay. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. My only issues is that our room was very cold. They did bring us a portable heater which did help some. The heating unit on the wall was broken. Other than that it was great and I will definitely come again.

Nice place. Great restaurant across the street. Would definitely stay here again.

Property had a really nice feel about it - whilst older, care has been taken to present nice rooms. We were upstairs which I wouldnt recomnend for anyone really tall or not good at climbing stairs (internal lodge stairs were quite steep).

This motel was a pleasant change from the usual corporate identical looking hotel rooms. We were in an upstairs room in the lodge where the decor, though a bit dark, felt very homey. It was clean and the bed comfortable. Only real complaints were that there was no thermostat (we sleep hot) but we could close the heat vents, no hairdryer, no ice, no coffeemaker or microwave in the room though these appliances were available in the community room. The wood stairs to the upstairs looked as though they needed repair or replacement. However, I would stay here again, maybe trying the cabins instead. The town of Rangely had only one restaurant option on a Sunday night (Chinese) so be prepared for that!

Really great little cabins! We enjoyed staying here. Customer service with the staff and their response to requests were amazing. We'll be back!!

We absolutely loved the cabin we stayed in. Clean and inviting! It snowed during our stay and we loved watching the deer roam by.
