Moosehead Lodge

Really enjoyed 2 day stay as a base camp to see Dinosaur Natl Monument. Stayed in the Lodge. Clean, quiet, very friendly staff. Resident cat visited us. We luv cats. Love small town vibe of Rangely. Good food, lots of history, interesting stories& scenery. Next time will stay in cabin w/a little bigger bath.

Despite the non working AC, the big gap under our door, and the rather rough looking interior, this place was really great.

The hot tub and sauna area is quite nice. Cabins are roomy and comfortable. Kitchenette was supplied enough so that we fixed dinner for ourselves.

Check in was good the staff who helped very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, bed and main amenities nice, missing a couple usually standard items missing like a hair blow dryer, ice trays in the freezer or directions to if there was even an ice maker on property, there were no creamer packets or pods with the coffee maker. Hot tub, had a posted night closing time of nine pm but when asked the office gal told me not to worry could use any time. Got back from dinner about 9 am and was looking forward to taking a nice soak, by the time (within 15 minutes) we were headed out the door and heard a lot of loud talking from the direction of the Tub, when I looked there were 6 or so people in the tub obviously drinking (including out of glass bottles) and one very loud talking female spouting in vulgar language disgusting details about her exploits. Well we went back to the room to wait them out, by 10:30 pm we gave up because they were still using it. In the morning we decided to try it, when we got there and looked at the water we thought “no way” the water was cloudy and a light brownish hue, went back to our room, packed, turned the key in (office was closed, and left. I am a licensed COP if I know the standards, it was unfit for use in my opinion.

Nice location, and clean. Room was small, but for an overnight stay it was just right. The bed was comfortable and quiet

My one night stay while traveling through area was restful and I felt comfy and safe. I stayed in one of the cabin rooms and I appreciated the larger fridge (with freezer section for my cooler packs). Bed was comfy and tv worked nicely. To me it would be like staying at your aunts house and she offered the nice guest studio. It has a homey feel.

Good lodge. The beds in room 8 were not the most comfortable, but ok. The common areas and patio are great. Easy in town OHV riding from here

Such a great place would definitely stay here again and the host was so sweet and helpful !

Comfortable and clean room. Stayed in the lodge, which had a great kitchen facility. It being a wooden building, can be quite easy to hear others moving around!
