Very friendly staff, property was clean and upkept and facilities were nice. Views were great with lots of fish. Defiantly would recommend trying this place. the snorkeling all around the resort is fantastic.
Only negative i could come up with was the food was limited and taste came up short.

Je rêvais d'assister à un spectacle de danse polynésienne et j'avais réservé cette soirée avec beaucoup (trop) d'attente. L'hôtel n'était pas complet donc pas de buffet BBQ. Nous avons choisi nos plats à la carte et c'était très bon. Mais quelle déception pour le "spectacle" ! 30 minutes de danse dont 15 avec les clients de l'hôtel. La troupe, très jeune, n'était pas du tout au point. Cela ressemblait à un spectacle de fin d'année d'une école de danse avec des danseurs décolorés comme des joueurs de foot et des danseuses qui ne souriaient pas du tout. Seule la dame (la prof, je suppose) était gracieuse. C'est dommage que l'hôtel ne nous ait pas prévenu que c'était une animation pour les clients.

This is a very remote location, so best if you really like to dive and snorkel. Not many places to go to, or other restaurants. Blue lagoon trip was great on a quiet sea day.
With the leaky wood loovered side windows, there was so much air leakage that we never got cool. AC was underpowered for that.

Nous attendions avec impatience notre séjour au KIA ORA après une croisière de 15 jours sur le Paul Gauguin, ayant réservé un bungalow sur pilotis. Malheureusement la météo n’était pas avec nous et nous avons essuyé 3 jours de pluie auxquels s’est ajoutée une bronchite carabinée pour nous deux. Malgré ces avatars nous avons tout aimé dans cet hotel , le confort du fare nous a aidé à supporter les aléas. L’environnement est magnifique , le personnel adorable et aucun reproche à faire tant sur la literie que sur les equipements. Nous ne pouvons que recommander cette escapade et conseiller le KIA ORA

Professional managing and of course the wonderful view of lagoon. Only remarks, is the lagoon view rooms can be a bit noisy because of the waves when raining or windy.

We stayed at the Kia Ora 7 years ago. We loved it so much that we wanted to stay here again. The first time, I booked through a travel agent, but this time I booked directly with the hotel and Sylvia was amazing. She was so accommodating and helpful, even when we had to change our dates. When we arrived at the Kia Ora it looks just as beautiful as we remembered. We stayed in the pool villa and yes, the villa itself is dated and some of the deck is deteriorating with age, but that did not take away from our incredible experience! The hotel is aware and we actually met Gerry, the hotel manager. Somehow he knew exactly who we were when we ran into him in the reception area on our last day! Don’t even ask how that is possible, they are that good :) Back to the pool villa - the room is outstanding with its private pool, bathtub, seating area and lounge chairs. If you stay here, make sure you book enough days to actually enjoy the room! We spent several days diving, but one day we did rent bikes from the hotel and rode into town. We also went to watch the dolphins at the pass when we were not underwater watching them play. If you love dolphins, you mush come here! The food at the restaurant is delicious despite being the same menu each day, and the bar has the most beautiful ocean views. With all this beauty however, it is their staff that truly make your stay remarkable. Everyone is kind and pleasant and incredibly helpful, especially Teapua, Moerava and Tania at the front reception. When we left, it was like saying goodbye to family! Thank you Kia Ora for another wonderful stay. We will be back again :)
