This is a great hotel. We were here for a conference at The Monument. It was about a 5 minute drive so very easy. They have great amenities. Their breakfast is a full breakfast with so many options. It was really good. The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows in all different styles so you can choose the best for your comfort level. The only drawback was the maid service and the hot water. The water was definitely warm but I wouldn’t call it hot. The last morning it was more lukewarm. We only requested maid service twice. The first time they only made one bed and did not refill the shower toiletries or remove the dirty wash rags. The second time they did not come and we had to go to the front desk for towels. Not a huge inconvenience but just a small deduction. The pool area is very warm and has a great slide so if you’re bringing kids they would love it! Also they allow pets which is also very cool. Overall I would give it about a 4.8. Ask for Quinn at the front desk. He is so helpful and really welcoming!!!

We had a king room right on the first floor, close to the lobby. It was very quiet. The room was so spacious, very clean with lots of counter and storage space. The bed was so comfortable. The downsides: very soft pillows, and the area around the desk and TV is dark, not enough light there, but only a minor inconvenience. Breakfast was the standard mix of cold and hot breakfast options - waffles, eggs, breakfast sausage, fruit, oatmeal, baked goods, etc. This works for a quick and convenient dining option. The hotel is set on a hill with amazing views and convenient to many stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. It was a great option while visiting Rapid City, easy commute to the many surrounding attractions. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others as an option.

Pool closed. Room smelled of itinerant and loud mechanical noise. Elevators smelled of mechanical heat/hot. Breakfast good, staff nice
