The hotel, staff, and property were all great!
It lacked in the smaller touches that made the difference in my rating.
1. No free coffee in the morning. The in room option is miniscule, if you want an actual cup of coffee, you have to pay for it-and its hours are limited. That is a huge negative to me. To be fair, hot chocolate was offered.
2. The shower has dispensers that I couldn't read what was in them- i never figured out what was soap or shampoo. I ended up wasting more than I used. I can't be the only one who had this issue.
3. It was 50 degrees out so I sat in the courtyard. The stored cushions were filthy so I didn't use them.
4. The hotel still has carpeting. Another negative to me.
Small things make a good hotel great. This hotel lacks the small things and attention.

Easy online check-in. Room was acceptable and spacious and mostly clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. I like how Marriott is using online housekeeping requests. They made it so much easier. Front desk was prompt with extras and cleaning of an area that had been missed prior to check-in. Walls are thin. I heard my neighbor coughing all night into the morning, and since we were near the elevator, I heard it ding throughout the night as well as a few loud conversations while people waited for the elevator. The lounge area in the lobby was nice. Enjoyed the fireplace briefly.

Stayed 4 nights over Christmas and couldn’t be happier with this hotel. Super clean and staff was exceptional. Nicole at the front desk was absolutely awesome. Gym was sufficient and the courtyard and fire pits are a nice touch. 5 minutes from downtown Red Bank. Will be staying at this property again on family visits to NJ. Highly recommend
