Best Western Plus the Inn Suites at the Falls

Hotel is beautifully located next to a river. Room is clean. Breakfast ends a bit early at 0900.

The front desk clerk was a small indian lady. Super sweet super accommodating to me arriving early. I did have to pay a small fee for the early arrival, i thought it was cool had that option. i was upgraded also to a water view room looking over a gorgeous river. Long story short i would stay again an d also a Great family property

I’m not sure what’s going on with this hotel lately. I stayed here last week and again last night, and both times the lobby and breakfast area had no heat—it was freezing. This morning there was also no hot water for a shower. The front desk attendant said she fixed it, but that didn’t help me when I needed to get to work. This used to be my go-to hotel in the Poughkeepsie area, but unfortunately that’s no longer the case.

Booked our room for a price and joined the rewards program to get a discount. When we got there, it was way more than what we booked it as. The woman at the counter pulled a bait and switch on us. We were so tired from our long drive, we gave up reasoning with her. The stairs going up to our room was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or vacuumed in a long time. There were beverage drip marks on the wood. Our room was disgusting!!! Gross stains on the carpet. Sticky counters in the room. Mold on the wall and carpet in the corner. The wall near the window had crumbling plaster falling off. The furniture was so old and in poor condition. The smoke detector on the ceiling was hanging down. The carbon monoxide detector was falling off the wall. The bathroom counter was scratched up wood, with paint chipped all over it. The lamps were scratched all over. The lamp shade had dried blood on it. We were afraid to touch anything. We went out and bought a can of Lysol. There were large bugs crawling on my coffee cup. Yikes!!! The breakfast was sub par, with no hot water for tea, machines not working. The tables were dirty and we asked ours to be wiped down. The sign out front should have been an indicator as to what a dump this place was. The sign was cracked with tape over it, the tape looked like it had been there for a long time; as it was peeled off and falling off the broken plastic sign saying Best Western. We didn’t notice until the next morning in the daylight. I took pictures of all listed above for evidence if asked for proof. I’m reaching out to Best Western Corporate to tell them about this place. Definitely not what I expected from this hotel chain. Shame on them!! Gross!!

Stayed at this location on Christmas. Came home from my daughters to find the upstairs emergency door propped open. This door was right next to my room. Called front desk. Only one person on and she couldn't leave desk to check for any security issues. I asked if she had cameras to monitor hallways and she said cameras were on and locked in manager's office so she has no access to them. I complained to Best Western and received no apology from hotel. Manager said the housekeeping staff sometimes props open the emergency door and then forgets to close it. I feel this is a safety and security issue especially when traveling alone. I would not feel comfortable staying there again.

Hostess was not helpful the gentleman was great could have been cleaner. Location was good and liked the back deck and river view. There is no lounge

There was zero hot water for showers and you could not sit in the dining area because the area was about 40 degrees.

Staff was nice room was horrible the bathroom sink was filled with stagnant water sitting there for idk how long the headboard just fell off the wall in the middle of the night and when i told the fromt desk at checkout all i got was oh ok
