We stayed for our anniversary. Had some good cocktails at the bar downstairs. Very nice! Local shops are fun to checkout and enjoyed dinner and breakfast at scarlets.

We stayed in the hotel 2 nights as we went to our friends wedding. The wedding was taking place in the hotel with reception there also . Beautiful hotel with really nice people working there.

What a great time to be in Redwing. So much to do and tons of small shops to visit. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. Good food at the hotel and the small cafe's with in a block. We will be back. Seeing the Eagles at Memorial Bluff and Barn Bluff were a great addition to our trip. The Portside bar was hopping both night of our stay. Liberty delivers pizza to the rooms.

We have stayed at the St. James several times before and haven’t been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We needed an extra towel and within a few minutes the front desk help arrived with it. At other establishments we waited and waited for service. The restaurant, Scarlet’s Serbs a great breakfast and the staff is very top notch. We love the history of the hotel, it’s like stepping back in time. We like to roam the hallways and read up on the history of the town and the hotel. On a side note, we can hear the trains go by at night, since our room overlooks the tracks and the river. It didn’t bother us at all since the walls of this grand place are pretty sturdy. The view of the sunset over the Mississippi is beautiful and I sat and enjoyed it from the comfort of our room.
