We held my wife's 60th birthday party in the private room between the dining room and the lounge, in the Hall itself. From first contact with the events team to the birthday party - everything was managed brilliantly. Changes of numbers, timings etc, was never an issue and always managed with good grace. The events team really know how to make you feel special (Adele, Emily, etc.). The food on the night was exceptional - plentiful and tasty. The room was elegant and they allowed me to add some party bits to add some more flair. The stars on the night however were Jodie and Sophie, who couldn't have done more for us. They smiled all night, they worked silently on getting things done, they kept me right with cake cutting, speech, champagne flutes (for procesco!) and a silly bit of light entertainment I'd organised. So professional, nothing a problem to them, and they had hearts of gold. Very authentic people which is missing in this industry. I have used so many hotels in my life. Most experiences are unforgettable. Not this one - the service, the ambience, the value all played into a sense of well being and super night for my wife.

Wonderful stately home hotel in stunning location and unusually still run by a family business. We were there for a family celebration over a weekend and the staff couldn’t do enough for us particular thanks to Jodie who went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic time , nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and rooms were lovely … and breakfast to die for. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

My parents were married at Gisborough Hall and returned this week to celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary. Stacey kindly helped me surprise them with flowers, chocolates and the wedding day photo - so kind. After a long journey, my parents were thrilled with the surprise in their gorgeous room. They said all staff were incredible and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Following another very enjoyable three day stacation we enjoyed a farewell afternoon tea. It was delicious. As always, the Gisborough Hall staff were charming and attentive. We are now looking forward to a return stay in a few weeks time. Anthony B.

We were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. We loved every minute of our two night stay. We stayed in the old part of the house in a really spacious relaxing room. We chose to dine both nights in the challoner, the menu changed both evenings. It isn't a huge menu but you can also go off the grill menu. Each course was beautifully presented and tasted amazing each served by efficient friendly staff. Coffee and tea were served in the lounges. Lord Guisbourgh mingles, chats and plays the piano and this all adds to the charm of a country house. We loved it thankyou to the staff for making it a stay to remember

Two night stay to celebrate my 60th birthday with my partner. The hotel is lovely, room very spacious and staff very friendly. Chose to dine in Chaloners on the 1st night - very disappointed. Cutlery was dirty , steak was tough. Decided to dine out on the 2nd night to avoid the same thing happening. At breakfast we requested for the toast to brought with the hot breakfast , this never happened - we asked someone for it & it was brought pretty much as we were preparing to leave the table . The restaurant was the only thing that spoilt the break - an expensive disappointment. Would return but not dine there.

We had a really lovely 2 night stay in ‘Pheasant’, one of the new huts. It was perfect for a 2 night break. Coffee machine was a welcome touch as was the milk and bubbly left for us in the fridge. We didn’t cook, but could see the hut contained utensils to allow you to cook on the hob (no oven or microwave in Pheasant). Bathroom was lovely, although slightly odd that the bathroom window was the only one that had no blind or shutters. Loved the roll top bath in the bedroom. And the bed was super comfy. Laying inside watching the bats fly over the sky window at dusk was a real treat. We used the fire pit (everything was provided apart from matches/lighter to start the fire), and the outdoor tub. Although worth noting the outdoor tub has no jets, just pretty lights. We felt Pheasant was the best located, at the end of the row so it felt more secluded. The outdoor tub of Pheasant can’t be seen by people walking by (or coming to look at the huts), whereas we could easily see the outdoor tubs of the other 2 huts as we walked to Pheasant. At the moment people seem to be curious about the huts and we saw a few people walking over to just look at them.
