Other than the check-in/check-out through a bullet-proof pigeon hole on the outside of the hotel, and the unpleasant demeanour of the man who performed the check-out procedure, it was a pleasant stay. Good room, good shower, good heat.

In my business traveling career, I have spent at least 2000 nights in hotel rooms. This undoubtedly was the second worst experience. Unbeknownst to me, the annual Saskatchewan Agribition farmfest was on with literally thousands of people from rural Saskatchewan staying in the city. I tried my regular place but they were all booked up. I checked ******* and there was virtually nothing available in the city so I ended up at the north end Thriftlodge. I don't really know where to begin. At check-in, there was no Lobby or Office to come in out of the cold which was 17 below zero, just a sliding window at face height. It's a motel not a hotel at a noisy, busy light on Albert Street. I enter my room and immediately notice they did not vacuum up after the previous guests. I start to unpack and as I am putting my toiletries around the vanity sink and move a face towel, a large beetle runs for dear life across the counter. I slam down the heel of my hand to successfully kill it before it escapes to the bedroom thinking it was a cockroach. I succeeded and was mistaken, just a big beetle hiding out in my room for winter. I go to hang up my shirts and suits. There is no closet or towel rack. Just a shelf above the toilet with towels on top. Underneath is a doweling attached with fixed hangars. Your clothes are hanging over the toilet so you have to sweep them aside to sit down! And no lotion due to COVID! Fistfights, crashing about and yelling at 3am both nights. Avoid at all costs.

No inside office. Stand outside to check in? Odd!!

I did have set backs checking in but the lady was fairly reasonable after all. I had major issues with picking up a forgotten item and was super insulted by the older man. He was entirely disrespectful. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone mostly based on the treatment I received. Overall it was clean and maintained and that was super important to me. Didn’t realize it was in such a bad area. Shoukd have read reviews first

The lobby staff were rude.

The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. The pictures of the room shown on website are very nice but in reality it's totally the opposite. Wyndham should look into this. Very disgusting place and front desk.

I will never wish my ememy to stay there. I paid for a nonsmoking room with twin ben enen though i was alone but they give me one bed and said to me u booked online there's nothing we can do. Worse place every.Ghetto@

Very unfriendly and aggressive reception, lots of bugs in the accommodation, traffic and train noise, breakfast was 1 apple, 1 maffin, 1/2 orange juice, heating fan extremely loud
