Hartsfield Manor

We just love the place. Its actually like coming home. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. We have stayed there many times and we will be coming back in September and in the future as much as we can. Hartsfield Manor is situated on beautiful grounds and the road leading up to the manor and the area is very beautiful. There is a nice village and also pubs nearby.

It is a nice Hotel in a good location. However it is first and foremost an events/wedding hotel. Not something we were completely aware of when booking. My wife and I were looking for cosy, friendly country hotel. What we found was an events business with rooms. On our third day the Hotel was busy with conferences/events and even the bar, which is small, had a lively/noisy meeting there. The main reception rooms are fully occupied when events take place leaving very little room for Hotel guests. [the poor weather prevented from using the tables in the gardens] In addition the main reception rooms when unoccupied have very little furniture in them, presumably so they can quickly transform them into conference/wedding arrangements. We were disappointed as the website gives the impression of a family environment but this was not we found.

We just love Hartsfield Manor Betchworth and we have stayed there many times actually once or twice a year. The people in the reception are unbelivable nice. The food is really good. The grounds are very nice. Its just feels like coming home every time.

I had a truly lovely evening dining with my family while they were staying at the hotel . The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the experience was made even more special by the attentive and friendly staff. The meal was delightful, with each dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. It was a memorable evening spent in great company, and I can't recommend Rachel highly enough for looking after me and Adam for a wonderful dining experience. One thing I will say that is slightly annoying is the chefs bell I get that they can be frustrated with food waiting but a constant ring on a Sunday evening is more frustrating for the people in the dining room who have to listen to it we can wait as the food is very nice and at a great price

Beautiful hotel in a very beautiful setting. Lovely views, we stayed for the weekend for my sons wedding and everything was amazing. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were lovely very comfortable beds, the shower in our room was great, the only down side is the bar area was small, however it’s very cosy if you are away as a couple or small family. The dining room was huge and food was lovely. The wedding was perfect in all aspects and managed by the hotel at a very high and professional level

I won’t stay there again and make to let my colleagues to be aware of that hotel , as we still have business trip to the area.

My partner and I went for Afternoon Tea and also stayed overnight for the Race night. Afternoon Tea was really very good. The ambience in the lounge was just right, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The Prosecco was also very tasty. The Race night was brilliant fun. Just the right amount of people, the food and service was top quality, and then a disco to finish the night. We would highly recommend this for something a bit different to just a meal out. We had booked a Junior Suite, number 24, in the main hotel. Nice enough room and reasonably priced, but the bathroom in particular was not nearly clean enough. I am quite particular, but even my partner said it wasn’t good enough, and for him to say it, I knew I wasn’t just being fussy! The tea and coffee facilities had not been replenished or cleaned either. It’s just the little details that make all the difference, and I’ve no doubt that these issues will have been addressed as soon as we notified them during checkout. There was a wedding party there during our stay, and bar drinks had been added to our bill in error. It was easily resolved during checkout, but we did have to wait whilst the charges were allocated to the correct room(s), rather than just taking them off ours. All in all not quite perfect, but still a very enjoyable night out. The food and service made up for it.
