Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa

We went to eat at the Shore restaurant. We were helped by Mel in the parking lot. He took the car and parked it for us in the complimentary parking offered by them. Mel was Very nice and friendly person. Finding a parking spot im downtown is hard but this was a very good experience.

I’ve been here with my partner multiple times. The experience is always amazing. The shore has amazing food and we had a little bump of a miscommunication but the breakfast is AMAZING WHEN WE DO breakfast! The area is great, good discounts around the area. Mel recommended so much and is a great person to talk with!

Very nice place! Lots to do inside the hotel. Rooms were very nice... comfy beds and great bathroom. The staff are very nice! Mel was amazing and super friendly. Gave me tons of useful information about the hotel and made me feel very welcomed.

My friends 44th birthday celebration! We had the best time and the business was so attentive, professional and personable. Also it was the owners son Victors birthday: Great day to celebrate! Mel was awesome sauce and so was the bartender Rorianna and our waitress was amazing. Great service❤️

The hotel was super accommodating, the valet person, Mel was extremely helpful, gave me so much information from discounts to the auto museum to the food available to us in the area, on top of the he was very friendly how he greeted us, mad us feel very welcome

I come here several times a year on business. I am a Marriott loyalist. But what I love most about this hotel is the valet parking and a great happy hour in the restaurant. Mel is always there in the morning with a smile and positive attitude when I get my car. And I love it that he always remembers me. Great loyal employee!!

Ian and Rafael in valet provided exceptional service! They never rushed us and offered to fill our water bottles up. We have four young kids and they were patient and so helpful! We absolutely love this hotel and love the accommodating service!!!

We were there for a funeral!

We used a Marriott Bonvoy rewards coupon for payment, otherwise review would be only 2-stars. Great location isn't enough to warrant premium pricing. Impressive property from the outside, and very compelling lobby and ground floor art gallery. Feather pillows and great water pressure in the shower. That's the good part. First room we were given had plumbing problems and we were immediately moved to another room. Must have been renovated in the last 6 years, and the execution didn't come off too well. Sliding barn door for the bathroom that doesn't provide adequate privacy, made worse by the absence of an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Tub has been replaced with walk-in shower, but the dimensions of it result in the toilet being less than 6" from the shower glass door. Unless you don't mind riding side-saddle you will likely find it unsatisfactory. Bed was far too soft, almost hammock-like. Friendly staff, but the price point is WAY above what this hotel should command.
