Mel’s the young man at the door was absolutely AMAZING ! He was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the property and all of the amenities and things to do within and around the property. I travel monthly for Business and his customer service exceeded well beyond what I’ve experienced at other Marriott properties. Mel is a star employee who deserves recognition and appreciation! Thank you sir for all that you do to make us guest feel right at home!

We had a pleasant stay. The hotel staff was very friendly. We ate at the restaurant on the river which had beautiful views and good food. The rooms were large and clean. Mel at Valet was so helpful and courteous. We definitely recommend this hotel!

Mel at the valet was awesome, his service made my day. The shore bar was beautiful and excellent. 10/10. Good beer selection and very good pastries. Atmosphere was top notch. Everyone was nice and even the bathrooms were very pretty. I wondered if I was rich enough to enjoy the place but everyone treated me like I was a rich guy it was awesome lolz!

Lovely stylish and spacious hotel. The downtown location is easily accessed from the highway. Nice setting along the river, walking distance from restaurants. Parking is an open air lot, which we needed in order to park our RV. The room we had was a corner suite. Nice views, huge tub and double sinks. Overall excellent.

The hotel is really nice this is my first time here and I’m enjoying my stay All the employees I meet so far are nice and helpful but the one employee that was the most helpful and kind was Mel the gentleman who works down by the entrance he was very kind

I loved this hotel. I thought the desk clerk was most helpful. He helped me get an uber driver several times, and called a cab company for me. He is?most helpful and knows how to treat tgw?guests. He was on working today, Tuesday, at 12:00 Noon, check out time. He also checked me in on February 29th at around 9:00PM at night. The server's, and day and night manager's at the Shore restaurant are wonderful and gracious. Ruby, my spa attendant, at Refuge Spa gave me a Hot Stone Massage that was excellent. I will definately co e back, and stay at the Renaissance, and will recommend it to other's.

Never had a bad meal here at the Shore Room. Food was excellent as always! Fresh, flavorful and lots of options. Chef Nate always takes great care of us. Valet service was also excellent! Shoutout to Mel for the awesome, friendly service and some recommendations for things to do around Reno. 10/10

Mel & Ian were our valets & took such good care!! They are great!!! We were at The Shore restaurant & will recommend it to everyone! The balloons were amazing! Food delicious!! Beautiful view of Truckee River. I am coming back again with friends!

Beautiful property right on the river. They have a really nice lounge where we had the best smoked old-fashioned we’ve ever had. They have a couple of dining options, one has bocce lanes and an arcade, which was super fun with our college kids. It’s downtown, so the surrounding area is a bit unsavory, but the valet personnel keep the riff raff out. All in all we were very happy with the hotel.
