One of my criteria to select a place to stay was its offering of breakfast. It was the first time I learned about "grab and go" breakfast. It was not what we were looking for.

Doesn’t look nothing like the picture. The place is a dump Stayed about six hours checked out with somewhere else! The employees working at the place. We’re very nice. That was the only good thing about the place. I booked through *******, so I probably won’t get a refund, but that was OK. I just wanted to get out of there!

The property is not at all like it shows in the pictures ..We were moved to 3 different rooms because the heater wasn’t working.. the smell in the rooms was horrible. Definitely pay a little bit more, the staff was effective to solve the problem. The property is located in Reno Downtown, not a good area.

Stayed at Howard Johnson Reno, NV & was deeply disappointed. Entire establishment was run down and dirty. Room was dirty, smelled of smoke, with broken locks & fixtures. Vomit on curtains. Staff overwhelmed, no adjoining rooms as promised. Poor maintenance & cleanliness hidden under layers upon layers of paint. Not worth the price. Would not recommend.

The pictures are way nicer looking than the actual place. It’s just an old property that needs to be upgraded and cleaned.

Everyone at the desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The curtains wouldn’t close all the way though. A lot of light came through into the room and that added to the noise from street traffic kept waking me up most of the night. Next time I would just bring earplugs and an eye mask. It’s still a good value if you’re looking for a budget room with friendly service.
