The best hotel in Iceland in terms of facilities, amenities, service, meals, and value for money. Among several Fosshotels, Reykholt has reasonable prices. The room is somewhat narrow.

A premium hotel in a small village off the beaten track, best checkin from all the fosshotels visited. Amazing room, with a very comfortable bed, large bathroom, discounted gym and sauna facilities available, and breakfast was very good.

Situated in Patreksfjörður we arrived on the day it opened after being closed for winter. This is a hotel brand I have stayed with in several locations in Iceland. This did not disappoint although breakfast wasn't exciting, I missed the herrings I usually have in Iceland but that's a minor point. Staff are all lovely and friendly. A fjord view from the large bedroom window was beautiful. The double room was clean, had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. The black out blinds are 95% effective so I did need my eye mask to eliminate all the light night. Bathroom is small, clean and functional. Good shower pressure. Shower curtain was new although I'm not a fan of shower curtains. Towels, toiletries and hairdryer provided. Dinner - I didn't dine here so cannot comment. Breakfast - as expected. Yoghurt, Skyr, fresh fruit, hot options available. Interestingly no fresh fruit appeared on day 2 I would stay here again. The location is convenient for many of the "highlights in the West Fjords.

Wir waren zu fünft zwei Nächte dort (16.-18. April 2024) und hatten zwei Zimmer. Das Dreierzimmer war barrierefrei mit viel Platz, kleiner Couch + Sesseln und ebenerdiger Dusche. Das Personal war sehr nett, entspannt und hilfsbereit. Im Hotel gibt es einen Gym-Bereich, den man kostenlos nutzen kann. Das Spa kostet extra, für Kinder / Jugendliche in Begleitung der Eltern kostenlos. Das Hotel liegt direkt neben dem Snorrastofa-Museum, das auf jeden Fall einen Besuch Wert ist. Es ist nicht groß, aber sehr interessant. Es gibt Audioguides in vielen Sprachen. Außerdem liegt das Hotel nahe am Geothermalbad Krauma (dort ist ein Food Truck mit sehr leckeren Hotdogs, die man im Gewächsaus in Ruhe essen kann) und am Hraunfoss bzw. Barnafoss. Wir sind vom Hotel aus nach Husafell gefahren und von dort aus mit einem umgebauten Raketenwerfer zu einer Gletscherhöhle im Langjökull.

We loved our stay. The staff was extremely helpful, our room was spacious, and the breakfast was superb. My daughter and I are vegetarians and the breakfast selection was very pleasing. Dinner the night before was delicious as well. I was able to exercise in the gym and my daughter and I also explored around the property with many things to see and terrific walking scenery. The next day we had a short drive to see two waterfalls…Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. Truly great memories. Thank you!
