"Super quickly the confirmation email from the hotel, the directions and recommendations are clear and simple. The room was a decent side and it had a huge bathroom. Right now there are making some renovations in the property but during the sleeping hours everything is pretty calm and silent"

"Room and toilet were clean, however there was a Sulphurous odour (almost like rotten eggs) coming from the drain of the shower which was quite difficult to bare if you used the bathroom for too long. Fortunately for us, we were out most of the day, so we didn’t have to deal with it so much. They’re a sustainable and eco friendly hotel and don’t offer one-use toiletries, however extra towels and other things were offered when requested.
The breakfast spread was lovely and yummy!!

"A relatively new hotel, ca. 20 min by walking from the famous city center bar streets.
The service at the reception is good (it seems that the tourist industry is fully in Polish hands, this feels a little awkward).
Why is the room with toilet for disabled individuals if not requested?
The recommended bath Laugardalslaug near the hotel needs urgently refurbishing.
The Flybus transport from hotel to KEF was well organized and not expensive."

"Good location, good parking, good hotel with nice environment and rooms. Service at reception is very busy and lacking help. Toilets are spacious but bathtub in my room cannot be filled up. Hairdryer is provided as well and slippers and free coffee machine in the room."

"The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, but it was only used as a stopover so it didn't matter too much, and for travelling around Reykjavik we recommend booking another Hilton Curio Select hotel. Facilities in the room were fair and worthy of the Hilton name."

"The value for money was pretty average, and the breakfast was quite basic. The room was actually pretty small; it was difficult to even open two suitcases. However, there's a bus stop right outside the hotel's restaurant, which was very convenient. You'll also find plenty of gift shops just across the street."

"Nordic style hotel, super safe. You need to swipe the room card twice to enter the room floor and elevator. Breakfast time is from 7 to 10 in the morning (included). The hotel has a free sauna for guests. It’s freezing in Iceland. It’s not too comfortable to use a sauna to cool down. There is a Japanese ramen restaurant in front of the hotel. If I remember correctly, it’s called Ramen Momo. It’s next to it. The famous Tintin Museum is very small in Leicester City and is very convenient to go anywhere. The nearby bus stop is bus stop 4."

"The location is super convenient! Bus stop 13 is right downstairs, and you can walk to all the popular areas in the city center. Our room had a view of the cathedral, and the autumn colors in Reykjavik were absolutely stunning. The restaurant was good too!"

AAlec Lyubomirsky (alyubomi)We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked. We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful. In the lobby, we grabbed (included) coffee in the mornings and a reasonably-priced drink for happy hour. The service at the front desk was friendly and cordial. The room itself had a nice view of the mountains and was warm and cozy. It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland!
Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over. We had to be extremely careful making our way down to Laugavegur, which had much safer sidewalks. There were even a few buses and cars that couldn't make their way up or down the icy, hilly streets and had to work their way around. So if you are going in the Winter, be cautious and walk slowly!

GGuest UserThe service was satisfactory and the location was great. There's a large supermarket and a Chinese restaurant nearby, and it's a 10-minute walk to the cathedral and city center, and a 20-minute walk to the Old Port.

Environment: Convenient for getting around, with the airport Flybus shuttle directly to the door.
Service: The front desk was very friendly and helpful, and the response time was quick.

WWyw112The bus hostel is really near the airport and quite walkable to major sightseeing like 20-30 minutes.
Yet the Windows curtain could not even cover it well so if you sleep near a Windows in summer (as the night will be very bright) You will affect by the light. There was men snoring really hard so it affect as well (though this is not about the hotel)
I got nose allergy and the entire time I stay in the hotel and it makes me feel very sick.
The self check in system is quite good, yet the reception will be locked after 9pm(?) I was coming back at 10pm and there was no staff help unlocking the main entrance which the password is different. They provide no information about this. A few of us (new guests or those coming back) are locked outside until a guest know the password show up. This certainly not a good service at all.
The toilet has automatic light which is Environmental friendly I like it, but it went off when I only have a short time in the toilet, this really not quite good.
But the location is good and there is bus travel tour pick up from here.

TtorinessGreat little hotel right in the middle of downtown Reykjavik. The hotel is amongst loads of great bars and restaurants - so our room was a little noisy being on the street side but we slept through it :) If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Room was small but fine for the 3 nights we stayed. Hotel staff are really friendly. Breakfast, which is included in your room rate, is fantastic. Breakfast room is also available to lounge in all day until 8pm so it's a nice place to drink a bottle of wine 😁🍷 Please note my photos of room were taken when we were leaving which is why it looks messy. The room was perfectly clean and tidy when we arrived 🙂

The breakfast is amazing! It’s lot's of good stuff, but it gets changed from day to day. These people prepare on the same day, and not the night before. It makes a huge difference in the quality.
The rooms are modern, well designed, and well lit. The plumbing is excellent as well. Some other hotels have sulfurous water because Iceland is on a volcano. These guys have it managed.
Would definitely recommend and return.

HHuanyoushijierenxiaoyaoAdvantages: Self-service check-in, very convenient experience, located in the center of Lei City, you can walk to various attractions in the city, there is a parking lot, suitable for self-driving tours! With an open kitchen, kitchenware is available, there are 2 relatively large supermarkets nearby, it is very convenient to buy things and cook them! It is about 500 meters away from the Sun Voyager. I took a photo of the colorful northern lights in the sky of the Sun Voyager on the night of check-in, thank you! Disadvantages: It is recommended to replace the curtains in the shower room. The cloth looks very unclean, which wastes such a good shower experience, because the water is geothermal Liuhuang hot spring water (the rotten egg smell is authentic Liuhuang water, very slippery after showering), it is a good suggestion to simply decorate the shower room!

TTingZipFantastic location. We stayed for three nights, they provide towels, bath shampoo and hangers in room. There are side table and chairs. The common kitchen is well equipped and there are so clean. Some traveller bought food to prepare breakfast and dinner. It's so convinient to walk to city.
Recommend for team building and school camp.
