The hotel is located in the middle of a residential area; to the centre of the city and to the shores it is 10-15 minutes walk. The room (with tape floor) is clean and has a good size. The bathroom is a little bit small but useful. Breakfast is absolutely overpriced. Corona is a buffet where there is already in small cups sauce/ cheese or breads in baskets or cups each. Unfortunately, the breads and croissants were not fresh. The service at which you can order coffee and co was very nice. The coffee was ok, unfortunately not to enjoy the cappuccino. Overall the formal requirements of a 4-star hotel are probably present, but it doesn't feel like that.

This is just an outstanding place, with many quirks but they add to the charme - it's a 19th century chateau right by the Rhine (not on the levee; nothing is, the Rhine can be fierce), and it is very much a boutique chateau hotel. The place is famous as a two-star Michelin restaurant, but we went Monday-Wednesday when it's closed (but you can still get wine on the terrace etc.), which meant much more quietude, and it was great. Key for the experience was that we had the Tower Suite, their prime room, which has historical value - the German Constitution was discussed here shortly after WWII by the key party leaders. The bathroom is fine, the bedroom a bit low-ceilinged and dark, but the actual Tower Suite is great. It's a real space. Some constructive criticism: It's a consciously non-hip historical property, but in 2023, I think a Nespresso machine or at least a kettle is a must. In this suite, there shouldn't be random books, but at least a copy of the Constitution and a picture of Adenauer, Heuss and Carlo Schmid. To have the jacuzzi not work and not tell this in advance is so-so. And for a 400+ suite, I would as usual throw the breakfast in... But we really liked the wine selection (and the free carafe in the room); parking is great; and the staff was truly friendly and courteous. There is no elevator; the speed road goes right by between river and house (but that is the Hessian politicians' fault); and there is no pool or gym. But that one knows in advance and it's not a problem. So altogether, a very strong recommendation, especially for that suite. It's a significant, truly charming, almost otherworldly place, and if you like this - and in one of the loveliest regions of Germany - it's just a fantastic place.

The snake bath has seen better times, but that's long ago. Most guests will now come for any medical treatments. The hotel does not offer anything but clean rooms, which is why you should visit it. The lobby is large and cool with marble floor, there is no restaurant, no other facilities. The reception was very friendly and helpful, especially I would like to highlight the efforts of the young man in the evening, who organized me an expression of a mail. There is nothing to defect in the rooms, the chair is small, which is certainly due to the construction date of the house. Given the huge costs of a reconstruction, it is probably left as it is said, because the great times have passed as ”bath”, but other locations are similar. Breakfast buffet was sufficiently furnished, There is nothing to be wrong here too. A tour in the place is worth it, the beautiful old courtyard is worth seeing and some other houses like the ”Russian Court”. Can this be revived? Concise: first (and probably only) choice when you have to do in the place.

We stayed in nice hotels on this trip. This was the best of the best. It is located near a tiny hamlet called Johannesburg which is near the Rhine River. Town does have a couple of restaurants and also a bank with an ATM machine. There is also a Shell station very close to the hotel. Located on a beautiful vineyard. Hotel is spacious, relaxing, tranquil. It is a modern two story structure. One drives through a gated entrance (no guards, left open). Parking surrounds the hotel and is easy. Next to the parking is a building housing two restaurants that have incorporated the remains of a 19th century pseudo castle. Room was very large, elegant, modern. Bathroom also large and modern. Bed was comfortable but the cot they brought in was torture. Window faced the front of the hotel. We could see the 'castle', vineyard. Hotel staff were very nice. Provided us with gifts of wine and other amenities. I had concerns booking this. We wanted to spend several days seeing the Rhine river castles and I was worried it was too far from that. Adding to my concern was that it was only 35 minutes to drive to Frankfurt airport. So I thought this was out of the way. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was a great base for exploring the best parts of the Rhine. Drive along the river was pictureque and we could easily reach what we wanted to see in a short time. The hotel is located on a slope rising above the river. Driving downhill through the small town brought us to the river's edge. There is a car ferry that runs frequently taking one to the other side so we did that one day. Another day we drove the highway on our side of the river. Both were great drives. Getting to the airport on our last day was quick and easy (helped that it was Sunday when everything is closed). FYI - for those with a rental car you can fill up at the airport just as you get to the rental return/departure area.

HHypnoseThe hotel is located in the centre of Riesling, Germany. The grape fields are very beautiful, the parking is convenient, the room and bathroom are big enough, the restaurant is very good, especially the evening music atmosphere really makes us accidental and deeply infected. The homemade burger for breakfast is delicious.#128523;
GGuest UserRecently stayed at this lovely small hotel which is very nicely located centrally in Rudesheim but far enough away from train noise or busy streets, although there is a bar opposite we were unaffected by any noise being located in a Comfort Junior Suite in the eaves of the hotel. Our suite consisted of a small sitting area and bathroom on the entry level and two bedrooms up a spiral stairway, this would be my main issue that you had to negotiate this stairs in the night if you needed the bathroom, plus the dressing table and storage area for the outer bedroom was also downstairs. There was a little dressing table and some shelves in the inner bedroom but storage is quite minimal so be prepared to live mostly out of your suitcase. However despite these issues the room had air conditioning, was spotless, beds were comfortable and bathroom well proportioned with lots of storage and a good hairdryer, there was also a good sized fridge which was very handy. Breakfast was served in the beautiful little restaurant which was unfortunately closed this year, there was also a nice little courtyard area where you could eat, we had a lovely lady waiting on us each morning and her helpfulness and friendly nature made up for the frosty unwelcoming woman who checked us in upon arrival. English speaking guests should be aware that it can be difficult to be understood, many staff have little English and learning a few basic German phrases would be helpful, this whole area is not really geared up for the English speaking market and is more aimed at native clients, this is reflected in the food also but that was fine we were there to experience something different and enjoyed the fare although asking for decaff coffee proved very difficult in some places its a bit of a rarity apparently! Overall we were very happy with our accommodation and thought it good value for money, maybe keep the frosty lady away from reception to ensure first impressions are true to the real hospitality of this charming hotel.
GGuest User5 lady friends and I stayed at this quaint establishment for 6 nights. We had 3 rooms, each with its own character & charm. Jessica and her husband {proprietors} were simple the very best. Spoke English better than some Americans. Helped us with any need we asked about, from restaurants, reservations, where to find a self service laundry, bank, on & on. We were able to purchase tickets for many nearby attractions, boat tours, cable car, right at the front desk and have the cost go directly on our bill, so easy. Breakfast was well stocked, staff made sure we were happy, on the spot for coffee refills, need more eggs? Etc. Our departure was early in the am , since we had asked for daily breakfast, sandwiches, apples & bottled waters were made available to us for our ride to the airport. The beds and pillows were perfect, we all slept so well. Happy the morning buffet lasted until 11am, able to sleep late or take our time getting ready for the day! This was my second stay at this hotel , and it won’t be my last! Wunderbar experience each time!!!
Return trip to Hotel to visit xmas market .Asked for same room at the front of building but there is a busy railway so not for light sleepers ! However they do supply ear plugs !! We enjoyed the room as it is spacious and so much to see outside ie river traffic trains and main road . Breakfast plentiful with a glass of prosecco if wanted . Room was warm , clean and comfortable. There is parking available but you pay extra but parking is a must as that time of the year as is very busy .Staff very good thanks to management and we will be back
LlongDelighted I stayed here instead of an airport hotel , only 25 mins to Frankfurt airport and a super relaxing place before a long flight , super friendly staff especially Jacky in the hotel restaurant and also had the pleasure of meeting some locals and long term residents to make the stay even more enjoyable , highly recommend it
We had booked a DZ for 2 nights with a dog. For the dog was charged €15 extra per night - according to the hotel there was a extra surprise. On the bed, the dog was laid with a dog coat bag and a plate key trailer as a advertising gift for the dog coat bag manufacturer - what my dog was happy 🙈. To do this a voucher of a known dog line manufacturer with 15% discount on the next shopping - valid until 31.12.2021. (We were here in October 2022) The rooms are cleaned only on request - if no daily cleaning is supposedly planted a tree - well - we just believe it. The room service that cleaned the other rooms was “highly motivated”. At 14 p.m. the bed withdrawn was still in the hotel hall and the washing car was still around. The DZ in the new part are too small, the washing basin is located in the room you can throw directly from the bed from teeth. Two with dog a unding. Breakfast was inconceivable. The egg food was ineating. Two nights with breakfast and dog for almost €300 are just a freak. The only positive thing was the very nice server at breakfast. Unfortunately not to recommend further.
We stayed here one night on our cycling trip, and after a rough start (rather grouchy proprietor man at the front desk who didn’t speak any English and seemed sick of cycling guests, although we were only 4 easygoing people), enjoyed our stay. Bike storage was up around the corner through a garage that the proprietor had to open for us. We had a nice big room (though our friends had a tiny single next door to us and a larger single across the street and up several flights of stairs, so they were less thrilled). Our room was over the little walking street but quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of space, a big bed, closets and shelves, a big bathroom, and a good little desk and fast Wifi. The hotel is in a great location in the main old streets of Zell, with one side facing the river and the other the walking street. There is a good, expansive breakfast buffet in the huge dining room downstairs overlooking the river, with friendly and bustling service. Strangely, even though it was still tourist season (early Sept), and it was a Tuesday night, we found almost no restaurants open for dinner and were even turned away at more than one (at 7-7:30pm). But we ended up having an excellent dinner at a friendly Italian restaurant near the hotel.
