The Lemon Tree

The Lemon Tree was a great spot for our stop for a football match in Wrexham. The room was dated and not in the best shape, but we the service was great and it was quiet. We also had the BEST meals of our trip in the restaurant. Absolutely incredible cuisine. Thank you!

Room comfortable although bathroom was a little cramped. excellent breakfast well cooked. great location in centre of town,, would have liked a couple of glasses in the bedroom but appreciated the bottles of water provided. entrance to car park very tight

We visited about 3-4 weeks ago for a birthday meal for a friend and the food and service were so good we decided to book to stay over for a concert in town we were attending, for my wife's birthday. Booking and follow-up information was great, and we arrived 30 mins before check in time at 3.00 and luckily the room was ready. The lovely staff had arranged to put a plate of very nice chocolates with Happy Birthday written on them when we opened the door to the room! A lovely thought. The room was ideal, we had lots of storage, a clean bathroom, nice shower, fresh, crisp bedding and even a mini bar fridge and microwave with tea and coffee too, lots of mirrors and lights too. So many hotels have poor room lighting and mirrors in weird places - not here - everything was practically thought out. What we really like about the Lemon Tree are the staff - the guy who checked us in 'disappeared' for 10 minutes from Reception and that was because he was sorting out the room chocolates for us. He was the same man who looked after us when we first visited the month before. The next morning, we had the most delicious choice of breakfast, my wife had the granola and I had the full fry up - the black pudding is out of this world - all made at the hotel, including the sourdough bread and the bacon was so thick it was like a door stop! It is an independent hotel, so they really take pride in a personal experience, the two guys on for breakfast were very attentive, and the location is perfect for town. My only tip is to be aware the car park is fairly small, but both times we have had a space, it is due to the restaurant guests, but the location is the reason as it is on a corner, and it is a lovely old building tastefully designed and decorated. We would only stay here now, and would happily some here for a meal anytime, including breakfast, as the staff are all so genuinely nice. Thank you for a lovely night away.

A beautiful property! Situated close to the reason we were there - WREXHAM AFC! Wonderful drink options in the bar, fantastic breakfast, amazing oat cappuccino (priorities), and a beautiful, clean little room for the night. We had a wonderful stay and will most likely stay again when we come back for another match.

The property was near the train and near the pitch.

Lovely Hotel staff can't do enough for you, excellent breakfast choices, sunday roast delicious, centrally located for town centre about 10 to 15 minute walk to centre. We were there when wrexham played and won great atmosphere in the centre, thoroughly enjoyable weekend will definitely go back .

Very convenient and charming place to stay.

I stayed at the Lemon Tree with my daughter and our puppy. The hotel was lovely, shout out to Matt for catering to our needs. Great service, thank you. The food was amazing. Great breakfast with lots to choose from. The rooms were perfectly fine, clean and tidy and we managed to get an early check in, which is always nice. The only suggestion I would make is to put ground coffee bags in the rooms instead of instant. It would definitely keep in line with the AMAZING coffee and upscale food they serve in the restaurant. Thanks again and we will definitely be back if we return to Wrexham. Keep up the good work.
