La Nicholas - Lake View ( by Summit Hotels)

It is a Lake view hotel but the lake is very far Rooms look nice but does not match with the online pictures Extra bed they provided contains bed bugs which made us feel uncomfortable Swimming pool is very small Food they offered can be rated at an average level. This hotel collected high price due to holiday season but not worth at all. Cleanliness need to be improved.

The location of the resort is very good . The view of the lake from the cottages is stunning with pine forests all around. The chirping of birds amidst the calmness of the area is surreal. Would recommend to all nature lovers as even one day stay is a big stress buster. The food especially Italian is not so good to taste. The staff are helpful and nice. Special credit to the driver who drops & picks guests to the cottages from the Reception andain area of the Hotel.

Location - Perfect outside the hustling city of Shillong amidst the serene lake. Rooms - We were family of 14 adults and 5 children and booked different types of rooms 7 in total comprising of Premier, Cottage and Executive rooms and all the rooms were very adequate as per our needs. Cleanliness - Everything was clean. Service - Top notch with the staff available at all times to serve. We were very much satisfied with the arrangements made for us for bonfire. A slight delay can be experienced in the north Indian food, so order well in advance. Amenities - Swimming pool, a large lawn for play, play activities in kids room etc all were available. Swimming pool was very dirty when we reached and had a tough time to get it cleaned by the staff. Food - Limited options for vegetarian North Indian cuisine, but equally satisfying is the other cuisine.

My recent three-night stay at La Nicholas - Lake View (by Summit Hotels) was overall a pleasant experience. The serene lake view and calm surroundings made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. The staff members were extremely courteous, supportive, and always ready to help, which truly added value to the hospitality. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. Considering the room tariff of around Rs. 6,500 per night, packaged drinking water should ideally be provided complimentary (2 bottles per day usually), but it was not. In the bathroom, the glass sliding partition for the shower was not functioning properly, which caused inconvenience. Additionally, the room flooring (The restaurant and the room I stayed in, I’m not sure about the condition of the others.) appears quite old and worn out, and it would greatly enhance the overall ambiance if it were renovated or replaced. Another major concern is the restaurant washroom facility. There should be a separate handwash area for restaurant guests. The common washroom adjacent to the restaurant often had an unpleasant smell, which is not appropriate for guests dining there. Improving hygiene and maintenance in this area is strongly recommended. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with excellent staff support, but addressing these issues would significantly improve the guest experience.

Friends trip. Great rooms with balcony looks recently renovated. Had dinner at the restaurant and food was good though took some time… Thupka soup, momos, fish n chips , pizza . They also had a buffet going but we ordered ala carte. No plans of swimming so don’t know abt that..

I visted this resort last sunday, and i felt good vibes and friendly behavior of staff the food was very nice and the rooms were sapcious and neat, furniture was good and lot of thanks to the manager Mr Murari Jha for this lovely place❤️.......!

I visited la Nicola with my friends and it’s a great experience at your resort. Staff is very friendly and Romans are very neat and clean . Food is very good and delicious. Manager of this resort Mr Murari Jah is a very good men with great personality as he guided us about the local tourist places in a good way and provide us facility to reach their. ❤️

Room and service of this hotel is excellent and staff of the hotel is well mannered and polite. Specially Mr Murari having excellent job.
