Motel 6 Omaha, NE - IAT West

This review is based on other Motel 6 locations and not a review against other motels. This is an economy motel so the review is based on that. Clean updated room. Under $60 and our pup stayed free. No coffee in room but in lobby at 6 as promised. Plenty of parking for our trailer and we’ll lite, but…. Bad location, located in an area with commercial businesses all around. Right on the interstate but you had to drive 1/2 mile down a frontage road to reach it. Outside property was also pretty bad. Back side literally looked like a dump! Lower floor was closed for renovations so looks like they’re trying! Again, based on other Motel 6 locations this one gets a 3.

We booked 2 nights for a business trip because the motel location was very close by. We walked in the room and wow..there is a big hole in the wall. The sink was broken and hanging down into the vanity. I sat on the bed and it was WET! 🤢 My husband went and got a new set of sheets..they handed them to him wadded up in a ball. These sheets had blood all over them. The 3rd set also stained up. We went to Walmart and got our own sheets. I will just post pics so you can see for yourself!!

We stayed here formone night for an early start onwards into Nebraska, booking the place for the location and the price (arriving late eveing and starting early the next day it seemed pointless spending very much at all). First impressions.... not great. I suppose you cant hold a hotel accountable for its guests, and one shouldnt judge books by covers, and if people look incredibly shady that doesnt mean they are shady (to cut a long story short the upper crust of society don't seem to be regular clients - quite the opposite). Lots of people carrying their own duvets around for some reason. The night manager (or whatever the term may be) didn't seem to be completley at the races either... hardly welcoming or reassuring. The upstairs corridor had an odd smell.... kind of a chemical smell trying very hard to mask an even worse smell of unknown origin.... so far so bad.... Got into the room quickly and locked ourselves in. The surprising thing was the room was OK. It was clean, hardly luxurious but not a fleapit either.... functional. Wifi worked really well, hot water was fine and the bed relativeley comfortable. Once in the room the hotel was absolutley fine ! Slept perfectly well. Morning we up and left - didnt bother with breakfast as much as the room was fine some of the weirder occupiers were ensconsed in the breakfast room. In daylight the area looked far less "dodgy" than at night. So a tough one to call - in retrospect it was ok.... I guess if you pay bottom dollar you cant expect the earth and we slept fine.

Dirty, inside and out. Our room floors were filthy, but having a dog and a one night stay, I put up with it. Staff was competent, but uninterested. The hotel seemed like a welfare hotel. Creepy and right off the interstate in an industrial area. Noisy. Yuk.

They saved my cats and I. I booked with another hotel that said on their site and on a phone call they were pet/cat friendly. only to drive 12 hours and learn from another staffer they did not allow cats. so in a complete panic, I reached out to the Motel 6,knowing they would take my cats but I called to make sure, and within the hour they had an amazing room for me! I have been talking the poor clerks ear off since I got here. She has been so super amazing with answering all my questions and directing me to different places for food/oil change/shopping/snow tires. I out here for 8 weeks, so i want to be as prepared as ai can.
