Hyatt Place Jackson Ridgeland

I have stayed at this Hyatt Place and others over the last two decades and this was the worst experience ever.

The hotel was satisfactory, but it did not meet expectations considering the price associated with the renowned "Hyatt" brand. The absence of basic amenities such as microwaves, TV guides, and writing materials was noticeable. Additionally, the breakfast area lacked variety and cleanliness. Given these shortcomings, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

The absolute worst breakfast we’ve ever experienced. It was just pitiful. It didn’t matter if it was 7, 8 or 9 am it was always pitiful. I thought it may have just been the one day, but nope! We were there a week and the breakfast consisted of the heel end of bread (one piece) one bagel, eggs, dried out grits and some sad meat. The fruit was brown bananas for a few days then when they got too rotten they put out green apples. No other fruit was offered. If you wanted muffins you could purchase those. The coffee was terrible and full of grounds. We talked to the front desk about the shortcomings and nothing improved. We called Hyatt customer service also and nothing improved. It would seem as if they simply don’t care, which is really sad because it’s a decent hotel and everyone was nice but the breakfast was the worst!! Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else if you are wanting an actual breakfast. We changed hotels and went to Springhill suites and the breakfast here is wonderful! And the rooms are spacious and everyone is very friendly.

I hate to have to write this review. The quality of this hotel has gone to rock bottom. I would have given it 1 star were it not for the one young lady who actually helped me with linens on the Monday night of my stay. On arrival I was given a room. When I got to the room the linens were in the floor and was definitely not ready. No big deal. Back to the front desk and given another room. I open the door and it is like an oven. The thermostat was on 68 but the room was 78. I dropped it down to 66 to see if it would come on...Nope. So back to the front desk. I was given my third room. It was made up and the AC did work to cool the room (more later on the AC.) The first night was ok. The AC seemed to cycle off and on but I noticed the humidity did not seem to be going down. Additionally that morning the sink would not drain properly. Just brushing my teeth caused it to fill up to almost to the top. I left it while I showered and it was almost emptied. I stopped by the front desk on the way out and asked that the sink be fixed and also that my room get additional linens and freshened up. I went on to the office and thought all would be ok. I returned in the early evening and opened the door to an unmade up room a sink that had not been touched and humidity that felt like South FL in August. I had a rough day and went down and the young lady at the desk was very helpful in getting me fresh linens. I did not mention the sink because I knew if they didn't get it in the day they certainly weren't going to get it at night. The AC never cycled to control the humidity, my sink never got fixed and Hyatt Place is now on my NEVER BOOK AGAIN list both personally and for business!

The room was dirty the bed was not made up and bathroom was not cleaned the face bowel had hair all over it the refrigerator was dirty with the past guest that was there I had to go to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies

.The room I was given was in poor condition. The furnishings were overused. The sink was cracked, the toilet did not flush, there was no bedside phone, and the outlet to charge my electronics was on a wall next to bed that required me getting on my knees to plug in. I asked for early check in and I could not check I until@ 3.

Customer service wasn’t up to standard this last trip and we made it into to town around midnight room was dirty we had to switch and still ended up in a dirty room

This hotel does not live up to Hyatt standards. The room was filthy. The floors were grimy and sticky. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We requested a crib during booking and did not receive one. When we went to the front desk at 8:15 to get one and to see about ordering food, nobody was there. We waiting 10 minutes (along with other guests) for someone to eventually show up. There were guests going behind the bar to get their own drinks! Then he told us the kitchen was "down". There was no breakfast service either but none of this was told to us ahead of time.
