Nice, beautifully situated hotel in the middle of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. Friendly, hospitable service, neat rooms, good food and a beautiful (indoor) swimming pool, and all for a reasonable price. You can cycle and walk straight from the hotel in beautiful nature

Very friendly staff, customer-friendly approach, due to special circumstances we could not make it on the reserved date. Receptionist showed leniency: we could stay a week later. Today we had lunch at hotel Sallandse Heuvelrug (formerly hotel Rijsserberg) with our granddaughter. We were the only 3 guests for lunch. I ordered a 12 o'clock. Tomato soup, (which was heated up way too hot) croquette of bread and a mini bouncer. It all seemed very tasty to me. Suddenly our granddaughter says; Grandma, there is a hair on your egg. I immediately reported it to the waitress. Her response was; Will pass it on to the kitchen. Sorry, my cravings went away spontaneously. A little later she said; Should I ask for a new egg in the kitchen? Well no, the idea that......... Too bad that no apology was offered or a small amount was deducted during checkout. Because a hair in food isn't really tasty, is it? Too bad, we stayed several times when the hotel was still a Bilderberg hotel, which was always well cared for. This was a disappoin**ent.

Le personnel est sympathique et souriant! La piscine est propre, grande mais suite au Covid il faut la réserver! Le petit déjeuner est génial, il y en a pour tout le monde. Le petit bémol c’est les chambres manque de rafraîchissement, pas de frigo, pas de bouilloire. Et une moquette horrible

We may be a bit spoiled, but if I upgrade in a 4-star hotel I expect a comfortable room with working air conditioning, which I even pay extra for. Unfortunately, air conditioning did not provide cool air, the room was a hot cupboard, the carpet in the hallway was so dirty and damaged that a bad youth hostel would be jealous of it. Housekeeping does not come by for a multi-day stay and the sheets are made without the molton, so you can put them back on your mattress the next day. All this for 314e for two nights makes the value for money ridiculous. The hotel feels old and tired. The location is very nice however and the terrace lovely. Waiting staff are often absent which is a shame, but the food is good. Breakfast was also simple but fine, but here too more 3 stars than 4. We did enjoy the peace and quiet. No more Fletcher for us unfortunately.

The rooms need an upgrade, carpet is dirty and walls need paint. You can hear your neighbors. I reported an incident with unfriendly staff at the breakfast buffet. The manager handled it professionally but it left us with a bad experience, we checked out early and we won't return.
