Dunnroaming

We stayed for one night and are so glad we chose here rather than the nearby Premier Inn. The two rooms are located in the garden of the owners' house and are very Covid secure with their own entrances. Our twin room was spotlessly clean with a large shower room, tea and coffee making facilities and free wi-fi. We even had an outside sitting area in the lovely garden. There was also secure off street parking. Breakfast was lovely with cereal, fresh orange juice, and a huge full cooked breakfast with lots of coffee/tea. Mike and Shirl are friendly, extremely helpful and work incredibly hard to ensure guests are well looked after. All this and significantly cheaper than the Premier Inn. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I stayed at the Dunnroaming guest house for a few nights as lone female. Although he was very helpful, I found the chap who runs it was completely inappropriate with the comments & remarks that he made to me. He commented on who I had been with, what I had been doing and what I was wearing. He also mentioned my financial status. I have travelled the world by myself & never had someone made me feel this uncomfortable. I'm sure had I been with a male friend it probably wouldn't have happened. The place was nice with a good breakfast, but it says something when you don't want to walk into breakfast for fear of getting looked up & down, & then a comment made because I'd not gone for breakfast the previous day. I definitely would not return.

Mike and Shirley are such brilliant hosts,the chalets haseverything you require and are very clean Mike’s breakfast will keep you going all day,couldn’t praise it any more and would strongly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

This is a lovely place in an ideal location. The room is very private in a separate chalet and very clean and tidy. The breakfast is amazing and is cooked to order so very hot and fresh. There is parking and it only takes about 15minutes to walk into town. I would highly recommend.
