Hilton Copacabana Rio de Janeiro

Honestly, I've never stayed in such a rundown Hilton. The room itself was ugly and outdated, and the elevators and automatic hotel doors were frequently out of order. The price offered no advantage compared to other hotels on Copacabana Beach.

Great location, and the rooftop has a nice ambiance. The facilities are a bit dated, but overall it's still pretty good.

The location is superb, right at the beginning of Copacabana Beach, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the entire nearly five-kilometer-long famous beach. There's a wide variety of restaurants nearby, and supermarkets and small stalls are also easily accessible.

The hotel view is absolutely stunning, and the location is great. However, the room was small, and the facilities were quite old. The public restroom in the lobby had a strong, unpleasant smell. There were people smoking on the way to the hotel, which was a bit off-putting. For breakfast, the cups provided looked like they had been used by others, so I'd recommend bringing your own sanitizing wipes. There was no drinking water provided in the room, and even when I asked for it, they wouldn't give me any, which was really strange. The staff, including the front desk and lobby concierge, weren't very polite.

I booked this Hilton expecting their usual high standards, but the room was outdated, the shower leaked everywhere, and there wasn't even a hairdryer. I tried calling the front desk, but no one answered. Our 'sea view room' was right next to the elevator, and the noise was unbearable. When we asked to change rooms, they said they were fully booked. Thankfully, our Trip.com hotel concierge was incredibly helpful and managed to get us a new room, which was an upgraded king-size. However, it only had one duvet for two people, and despite asking for another, it never arrived. The service was absolutely terrible. This hotel has completely ruined Hilton's reputation.
