Good safe location, hotel recently renovated and looks nice, booked a room for three people but only had enough towels for two, when we went to get more towels they did not have enough regular towels on hand and had to give us a bath mat towels instead. Good warm breakfast included. The room had a bunch of lady bugs by the window and on the ceiling we didn't bother them and they didn't bother us.

We booked this hotel solely because it had a pool. It advertises that it has a pool. I had promised my young granddaughters that after 12 hours in the car with their mom, me and fussy baby brother on trip home to MI from FL their reward would be to swim. We checked in, exhausted from being up since 4:30 am, about 6 pm, lugged everyone and everything up to the room. Then I took the girls down to check out the pool. CLOSED. I went to the desk where the clerk explained that their general manager who was the only one certified to open the pool had recently resigned, hence no pool. No empathy or regret or anything resembling being sorry to disappoint with two little crestfallen girls standing there, a stance she maintained throughout our interactions that resulted in us relocating to the Holiday Inn Expess & Suites in Mineral Wells 30 minutes away. There, the desk clerk Angel was wonderful and kind, the pool was functioning as advertised and the overall experience couldn’t have been more different from what happened at the Ripley properly. Highly recommend if wanting to stay at HIE&S in Ripley area, choose Mineral Wells.

We were assured that we could extend checkout until 2PM and based our entire stay and choice of hotel around that as we were traveling for business with a pet. AFTER check-in we were informed that they wouldn’t honor this time. I don’t appreciate being lied to in order to get my business. Once in the room, we found a stale muffin in the floor, a dingy shower floor and shower without all parts secured which nearly resulted in an accident that could have been fatal. The individual who checked us in and out while not to blame for corporate lies, had absolutely no personality for customer service. In fact, they charged someone else’s room to our card on check in and I had to point out the error and have them correct it. I’ve been pleased with the stays in Charleston, WV at this hotel but had never tried another. I won’t stay outside the Charleston location again and I certainly won’t recommend this chain to anyone at any time going forward. Did I mention that when they called to ask about my stay, they were completely disrespectful with flippant remarks when I said my experience was not ideal. “Copy that,” is not a professional response. I was going to let it go until that call. As a result of their attitude there, I’m here leaving this review. Apparently others have had much better experiences. Sorry I can’t say the same.

We enjoyed our time at the Ripley Holiday Inn. The breakfast was excellent. The only things of mention was the shower in the morning wasn't hot-hot. The water stayed lukewarm and the shower drain was a little slow. Also the hotel did not have any drinks for vending. The cooler they had just had some off brand drinks and juices. Not much variety. I notified the staff of the shower water and drain at check out. Outside those items it was super clean and the kids enjoyed the pool.

From Courtney at a late check-in to Joanne in breakfast services....our stay was incredible! Joanne had a beautiful, fresh breakfast to get our day started with. She brought us a to-go goodie bag and two mints. She was quite awesome !!! We were very, very impressed. The room was clean and fresh...housekeeping was fantastic! And Courtney at check-in was professional, very kind, and extremely helpful as we were exhausted and hungry. We 150% recommend this location!! We will definitely be back and will make this particular location our stopping point from this day forward!

Ok for a traveling stopover. Wish they still had a hot tub.
