Rising Star Casino Resort

The hotel room carpet is outdated and dirty. I went to front desk and asked for a different room and they said they had none available!! Came for one night and really wanted to use the pool which could not because they had so many kids in the pool I could not enjoy it. The ****** was fun, but the games were broken or very old. I asked for help on better games and the staff asked me to hold on & was rude to me and left me standing in the ****** for 15 min and never returned. I then had to ask a cashier for help on finding certain games. In which she was helpful.

We had a great time and will return. We ate at the steak restaurant and it was excellent. The service was wonderful. Every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The Christmas decorations and displays were worth the trip alone.

Last year 2022 was fun and we had a great time. We visited again today December 2023 and was not really impressed. Machines are very old and hardly any bells and whistles going off. It’s unfortunate as the decoration at Christmas are wonderful. That and the live reindeer outside did make the trip a bit worth it. Probably will not return, darn. Just too, too old!

The place is filthy dirty. Forget using their wheelchairs or scooters!! You can use a wheelchair in the ****** but can’t take it out into the food court or hotel. The workers were so nasty and rude! They acted like they didn’t have time to help you and were caught in so many lies!! I would never come back here!! First time is the last time for me! Don’t eat the food either! You will get sick!!

We stayed at the Rv park, which was lovely. But if you don't have your own vehicle or golf cart, expect to spend most of your time in the RV. It's a short walk to the main building that houses the ******, restaurants, etc, but it is a walk, and it was 95 degrees across the paved parking lot. There's a shuttle that runs on Fridays and Saturdays, but it has very limited hours. There is no other transportation to the ferry or golf course, either. DEFINITELY is not handicap friendly and not the best for the less-than-physically fit crowds. The free breakfast at Ben's bistro was fantastic (but again, had to walk for it), and the ****** was mediocre. Very little customer service, hardly any employees to be seen. One very kind lady did come and sign us up at the club membership desk but then said, "Go to the kiosks for your bonuses," and we had no idea what that was. She came back later and gave us a quick lesson for first-timers, and she was the only person we saw the entire time we were there (until we cashed out, then only one person at the cashier's window.) The venue in general was very clean and very patriotic, there was a fun "selfish kiosk" in the middle of the plaza, but very little else jumped up to make this location worthy of a repeat visit or recommendation to others.

Rv park and golf course are excellent. RV park has everything you would expect from a “resort” extra $10 per night. Once you enter the hotel and ****** area you will understand why the poor ratings. This feels like a place where gamblers go to die. The air in the ****** is stagnant and pungent. Will use the RV park and golf course but will drive to Belterra or Hollywood to gamble

We stayed in the RV park and found it well maintained and clean. Our amenities were the same as hotel guests. The pool and hot tub were nice as well as the free breakfast every morning. Staff were courteous snd friendly. It’s very quiet during the week but extremely busy on the weekend. We would stay in this park again.

This resort has really gone down the past several years, to be honest, I don’t see how they can keep it open, the condition of the hotels rooms are unsatisfactory, the buildings and ******** boat need major upgrades, we visited on a weekday, hardly no one was there, it’s short staffed, a lot of the slots are gone and many seemed dated, kind of sad , as it use to be one of our favorites, although we were there with another couple, you feel a little unsafe, never saw security and very few employees at night!!

We used to go to rising sun to the ****** quite often, but lately the whole place has went downhill. The restaurant in the ****** wasn’t bad, but the payouts aren’t as good as others we have visited!!!
