The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room can actually be opened! The breeze blows very comfortably at night!

The Mission Inn Riverside was on my bucket list. I finally got to stay at the end of March, and the room was very spacious, comfortable bed, nice view. The TV placement was strangely installed on the side wall instead of the wall facing the bed so to watch we had to twist our necks to the right to watch. Not a very thoughtful set up. More attention needs to be paid to the bathroom as the shower curtain was smelly, gross. It was a pretty small bathroom in proportion to the room size. The biggest complaint though was a double charge on our credit card. We prepaid the room, but needed to pay the resort fee (another sore spot) upon checkout. Instead of just charging the fee they charged us again for the room. It was not on the receipt when we left, but noticed it on our credit card bill. Struggling with them now to get the full refund. One and done, no desire to return to The Mission Inn.

We love the Mission Inn but it has been a little inconsistent. There was no ice bucket once. In another stay, the bathroom was dirty (they moved us no problem). And lastly, some rooms don’t have the bathroom amenities. This last visit, my fiance was at the pool but the bartender/server never offered to help bring her drinks and food to the pool. She had to put her food and drinks on the floor to open the gate. She thought the service would come to her (like last time) but instead the drinks and food were just sitting behind the bar for over 1 hour until she realized that she had to go in and get it. Overall front desk will always help you out if you need anything (they are great). Besides the inconsistencies, the property is amazing and we will continue to stay at the Mission Inn.
