Pro: The property is accessible from the Mayo Clinic subway and close to several good restaurants.
Con: The handicap-accessible bathroom did not accommodate a wheelchair.

Indoor pool set up is nice, especially if you are an adult observing older kids out of the water. I liked the elevator security thing that you needed a room card to get to any floor higher than 1. Connecting to the skyway and subway is a HUGE benefit. Room was spacious enough for me to read on the couch while hubby watched college basketball. We had enough outlets to charge all our electronics.

Being in town to visit friends, enjoyed a nice stay the Marriott Rochester at Mayo Clinic. Small club lounge but very very well managed. Catalina at the lounge is extremely attentive and takes good care of everything, checking on guests and answering questions from everyone. Great job!

Staff was friendly and great location. Huge issue as others have noted is inability to control temperature in room. It is 75 in my room and 47 outside. I have had thermostat set at 66 last 4 days and never got below 73. Very uncomfortable to sleep in and purchased fan to help. I would not stay here again.

We were at the Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic area in late January / early February to get a diagnosis for a debilitating condition affecting my husband. As you can imagine, we were already stressed and worried. The experience at this hotel was above and beyond anything we could have asked for! Every single person we came in contact with was beyond kind and compassionate. They are amazing. We did have 6 individuals who stood out consistently I'd like to mention here: Bob, Glenn, Luke and Joe - all are at the front of the hotel and made us feel welcome and never a bother. Regardless of the ask, every one of these 4 gentlemen were on top of it!! David and Janice - wow - we cannot possibly say enough about these two! Janice seemed to be everywhere, doing everything, and smiling all the while. David was in the Concierge Lounge every morning. From the first day, he introduced himself, went out of his way to take care of us - as well as every single person who walked into the lounge. I felt like we were in his home. What a lovely, lovely man! The majority of people going to Marriott Mayo Clinic area aren't there for fun. They are scared, they are lost, they are away from their normal support system. This group of people made us feel comforted, supported, and cared for. We will never forget them!

The room was Hot! Air was not working and no one could fix it. I was sweating and wanted to wash my clothes I had been wearing but they do not have a washing machine. It was a hot 72 all night I woke up in a puddle of sweat and not happy. I did get a fan but that just blew the hot air around. Not satisfied at all with the service.

We stayed 4 nights in room 603. The only reason to stay here is the proximity to the Mayo Clinic. After the patient discount the room still averaged $200 per night and parking is extra. The staff at the front desk were all professional, pleasant, and helpful. No complaints there. The bellmen were also very good. It was nice to have an extra sink outside of the bathroom so that 2 people could get ready in the morning. However, in a room with 2 queen beds there will be a minimum of 2 people in the room and more than one easy chair would have been nice. The first night there, my bed was short sheeted. I can’t imagine why. We had to ***** and remake the bed. Also, the floor was apparently not vacuumed the entire stay. The grout in the bathroom was dirty and the toilet hinge was broken. Generally things were adequate but not more than that, especially for the price.
