Even Hotel Rochester – Mayo Clinic Area by IHG

This is a wonderful long-term stay hotel. Its greatest advantage over other hotels in the Mayo Clinic area is the friendliness and competence of the staff. every single one of the staff that I’ve interacted with was superb. Most four-star hotels don’t have this level of service that I’ve experienced at StayBridge the breakfast buffet is very good. The restaurant is outstanding. The staff at the reception desk is more competent and nicer than any hotel I can think of in Minnesota It is across the entrance from Mayo St. Mary’s Hospital Also there are several very good restaurants within two blocks in each direction I’ve stayed in four other hotels in the three years that I receive care at Mayo Clinic and this one is fairly superior to the others. A great property that places great focus on providing access to workout equipment and opportunities. Our room had a dedicated stretching area with a full-length mirror, a yoga mat, blocks, and elastic band equipment (similar to TRX). Some rooms even have Peloton bikes. The common workout facility is large and offers a variety of equipment. Check-in was smooth. Staff was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. Parking is limited and shared with the Staybridge Suites. We had no problem in finding a space, and we totally appreciated the underground garage. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was cooked to order and was good. I've already booked a return visit.

I have never been here and didn’t know it existed. Lucky for me I found a room here and it was amazing price and oh so clean and quiet. The only very huge issue I found there to be was that Machelle on the Staybridge side is extremely rude woman. Enough so I do not want to return. While the young lady checked me in and was explaining things I think her name is Mandy she has the most absolutely beautiful dimples and smile. The way Machelle but in and talked to her demanding some books from her and was extremely nasty the rest of the stay with her and how degrading she spoke after the young lady walked away. She said she was working on them but would be happy to get them when done and she would not take this answer and humiliated the poor girl till she went and retrieved them. This woman should not be working with the public cause I watched her continuously do this to not only her but many other coworkers and guests included. The young lady took it in stride and smiled. But no one ever deserves that. An another guest who is a frequent stayer said she is always like this. It is sad. Please reevaluate your front end team.

The room was clean and everything we used was functional. The bathroom and shower were spacious and the water pressure and temperature were good. This was a very positive area. The WiFi in my room on the 4th floor was spotty. I had to switch to my personal hot spot to maintain a good connection to my laptop for work. We added the breakfast package to our room when we booked it in case we wanted to eat on site. There was nothing noted about this when we checked in. No documentation was provided and they didn't have any visible signage regarding breakfast. I went down the to small bar/restaurant area to ask about getting coffee and the breakfast package on our second day. As soon as the person I spoke with heard the word coffee, I got cut off mid sentence and they said keep walking straight ahead. That was where they kept two coffee urns. The breakfast package ended up being wasted money on a six day stay for two rooms, or what amounted to 14% of the bill. Both the restaurant and main floor staff could improve on their hospitality. It definitely wasn't what i would consider friendly and courteous. The housekeeping staff we spoke with were friendly. They could have refreshed the essential items regularly a little better but did well overall. If you're looking for a clean room overnight with limited interaction, this would be a fine choice for the room itself. I think better options may be available for a longer stay since there are quite a few hotels nearby.

I hardly got any sleep because there is no sound proofing in between rooms.You can hear people walking on top or people talking or watching TV next to you.I hardly got any sleep during my 5 day stay.But I will say that the staff is great and the hotel is very clean.

Could use more staff in hotel. Rooms were ok. Shuttle to Mayo was a little crowded at times.
