Traveller Beware. This Hotel has closed down. Had purchased our stay with my good Wife. Had drove 6 hours to arrive to closed barriers. Padlocked doors and a sign stating closed until further notice. A reputable booking website are still accepting bookings. Very annoyed

The hotel from HELL! don't stay here unless at gun point. Dirty, room so bad I got a change of room but this was just as bad. **********s on the rim of the toilet, and sh+t under the lid of the toilet. Stains on the carpet. No food no breakfast. teaspoon must have been used for someone's takeaway and not washed. No sound proofing so heard the next room having grunting s++ at 6am. probably environmental health should have a surprise inspection.

Disgusting place. Filthy dirty. Smelt of damp. Fag butt's outside of room. Hairs in bed. Ripped base of bed. Holes in door filled with filler. Rubbish from previous occupants in bin. View from window was of a rubbish and a skip. Staff rude and unhelpful. Did not stay here and was refused a refund. Absolutely disgusting. Do not waste your money! ..

Having read another couple of reviews about this eve I couldn’t agree more .. What a disappointment ! In brief - No Covid safe measures as expected from what I was told when booking - Half the quests had children with them who were allowed to basically run all over the place, showing no consideration for other guests whatever running in to guests - Food very sub standard indeed and completely unorganised. - I only had to look around the room at half the guests to see I was not the only one to feel like this, others I did speak to were also very unsatisfied - unable to find any manager to speak to on the night to raise my concerns - left by 9.30 due to how awful the ‘ dinner dance ’ ( I say ‘dinner dance ’ was like nothing more than wild children’s party I have emailed management in hope of a refund

Booked this hotel on behalf of a colleague that needed to stay in the area last minute. Called direct to book and that was interesting to say the least, should have listened to gut feeling at that point to be honest. Are you using this place as a "hotel for people that travel to UK on inflatable boats" and if so probably should not be open to the general public at the same time. Its not as the price of rooms are £20 still expecting £70 for the pleasure of being scared to sleep at night (I have attached a picture) wont be booking this hotel for staff when in area ever again. And this room was booked for a burley strong male not a lone female and would never usually feel the need to protect himself in a hotel room whilst he slept.

Having missed the past 2 years celebrating with friends for New Year’s Eve , we made plans for New Years Eve and decided on choosing the Chichester for its advertised Dinner and dance . Having good memories of past at the Venue , we were looking forward to a great night out .. only to be badly let down by the Venue When the booking was made my Wife was told that due to the ongoing Covid issues they had decided to reduce the amount of people attending , which wee thought was a very sensible idea and also all felt more comfortable that this was being put in place . No one mentioned however that they would be hosting this in a smaller room and not the usual function suite that both we and our friends have been to before . We arrived to find that this was the case and went into a very small and packed in room with table directly next to others with no space .. totally defeating social distancing which is what we thought they would be achieving by reducing the amount people they would allow to attend . The room had lots of young children running around , very unsupervised by a large group , with kids banging into our table , ruining around dance floor and even playing board games one the dance floor and yet not one Member of staff challenged this . We were given no menu , and then suddenly an announcement came over that they would be serving dinner !! How did they know what we wanted ?? Well this then turned out to be a young team with handfuls of starters, then mains and dessert gong to each table and asking if people wanted what they had with them!! Such shoddy service !! The food i itself was third rate quality , with the cheapest of pate served with a side of Branson pickle .. a cheap chicken main with one dish of side veg to be shred by 4 people , with other tables of 2 getting one dish Whilst this was going on people were freely walking into the venue and going back and forth through the adjoining room , which doors had been left open . This looked like an open venue to anyone . We then tried to find a member of Management to speak to to complain about this whole situation . A very nice Doorman who was manning another party that was going on tried to help us find someone but to no avail as reception was not manned . We were so uncomfortable with the place and the situation we had been put In we decided to leave . We paid £70 per head for what we thought would be a nice meal followed by a good night of music and dance . Only to be given no choice of food and what was given was poor standard cheap food and no room to move as our table squashed next to others and a dance floor full of kids and anybody able to walk in to what was supposed to be a private Gala . We wil be writing to Managemt to ask for a full refund

On arrival from the outside a nice big car park well presented hence the photos they use on the booking site. When walking into the reception area it looks like it has been abandoned and not used for the past 10 years. Receptionist was a nice enough guy. “THE ROOM” the worst place I’ve stayed please see the pictures. Apart from that the next room we’re fighting most of the night and someone was trying my door in the night, let’s hope my car made it outside. SEE PICTURES.

Four of us paid £70 per head for a supposed “New Years Eve gala dinner and dance”. It was nothing of the sort, more like a children’s party. Told in advance numbers reduced by half to 60 to enable more distancing but event just moved to the smaller barn and tables very close together. A large number of guests were clearly all together and had brought their children along who just ran around and in an out of the room shouting with no parental control. Not what you expect at a gala dinner & dance. It would be interesting to know if the children were included in the paying numbers ? Talking to other guests they were all equally disappointed that the event was so disorganised and not what was expected. There was no management available to complain to on the night. Emails will be sent ! The food was well below average and service was poor, and as for the dance floor it was just a children’s play area as they did colouring and play with toys. We left after the meal and will be seeking refund.
