Holiday Inn Express LEXINGTON by IHG

I took a six day trip to Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania to visit civil war sites. I stayed here while in Lexington as it was close to VMI and I and part of there chain rewards program. Very convenient with its location. Quiet and clean.

Nothing special about the hotel, could use an upgrade room was lacking some basic supplies. Definitely not worth the price they are charging, very disappointed

I do not recommend booking this hotel and would suggest staying anywhere else for a trip to the area. Terrible customer service and good luck getting ahold of "Janice" the ghost like GM if you have any issues.

While the room was clean, the property is lacking. In our room the thermostat was a mystery – trying to get it to change from heat to cool. The refrigerator was set so low that canned water and carrots froze solid (split the metal can open). Finally, the Keurig coffee maker didn’t work. The breakfasts were disappointing: one of the coffee makers was broken – creating a long line for coffee. Sweet rolls and sausage were gone early and there was no resupply. The biscuits and gravy was finally resupplied after a long wait. The complementary cookies at the front desk were not replenished. And the room is not cheap – over $500 for 3 nights.

The fresh coffee on demand 24/7, hearty breakfast, clean room, easy parking and great location all contributed to a lovely weekend stay. Kudos to the staff for a seamless experience.

Our room had a ton of ants, I had to buy ant traps since it was the weekend I was told no one could help me. Shower curtain did not stay closed so the bathroom would’ve flooded after showers - could definitely use some TLC overall.

Excellent stay at this Holiday Inn Express! Clean, comfortable room and staff is very friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend!

Did not like the room. Seemed dated, substandard, fridge was not cooling properly. Room was not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express.

The hotel looks very dated and worn. The lobby is especially unattractive and the breakfast area as well. The breakfast selection was rather poor , not appealing . The workout facilities are very limited. The room itself was clean and quiet and the location is close to downtown Lexington and a little drive from 81. Front desk staff was nice.
