Wonderful hotel and staff! Ryland at the front desk is a wonderful asset to this company, giving genuine meaning to the word hospitality. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast was perfectly presented and delicious. Will be back!

Consistently, the rudest staff at the reception desk I have ever encountered in a hotel. Clearly this young man doesn’t enjoy the hospitality industry or customer service, and needs to be in a non customer-facing role. He’s at the desk every time we come here, and never smiles, looks you in the eye, or makes even the smallest effort to be pleasant.

As a cancer cancer patient who has recently gone through treatment I was surprised when I went into the gym and there were no ways of cleaning the machines. So I thought maybe they haven't refilled it and they could help me at the front desk. When I arrived at the desk to ask the gentleman about this, he was kind of rude telling me they dont have anything. I told him that I was a cancer patient and I would like to have clean equipment he looks at me as if he didn't care. I saw that there were two sanitizers sitting at the front desk. I asked him where the bathroom was so that I could get some paper towels. When I went back to the desk to ask him if it was possible. I could borrow one of the 2 sanitizers at the desk he told me no. That I could squirt it into my paper towels. So I decided that I would look up the rules for hotels and gyms. In the Tru-Hotel Brand Standards - North America found only under section 1302.05 G. Hygienic Wipes starts "The hotel must maintain Brand-approved hygienic wet wipes for guest use. Hygienic Wipes do not replace daily disinfecting during the cleaning process. Consult equipment owner's manual for recommended cleaning solutions." I have pictures proving that the fitness center is not clean, as well as they do not have wipes. After my complaint to corporate last night the fitness center now has Wipes. They didn't put in new towels until this morning. We have been here for 3 days and 2 nights. The front desk staff has been rude other then one tall gentleman. I found out from Staffers that most of them don't wear a name tags because people don't want others to know their names. (Hints they can be rude and you don't know who they are to report.) After talking with a few of the housekeepers I see why the rooms aren't clean. They are over worked some having a floor to themselves and they aren't being paid a fair wage. Though I believe they should have someone to check rooms after to make sure they are clean enough for guest. My room wasn't very clean, even after asking the front desk to send housekeeping to my room. I had to find the woman that worked my floor and tell her myself. I told her specific things to clean and still those were barely done. Im just upset with myself after the first night not packing up and moving to another hotel. The women that served breakfast are lovely. They were kind and very helpful. I would say the others that gave me information about be understaffing and underpaid were also very nice. The others at the front desk shouldn't be in hospitality if they can't be hospitable. Also I was given a call after speaking with corporate I was contacted by the hotel. The gentleman on the phone said that they would be calling me the next day about the situation. Its been 7 days and still no contact. I will be contacting corporate again and reporting this review on every site that I can. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY LIE! THEY ARE RUDE! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR SAFETY!

The room is a clean and renovated. Shower and bed are great. Amenities include a TV and nice little fridge.The front desk clerk is friendly and knowledgeable.

We’ve stayed in the Tru for several years, when visiting family for the holidays. This year will be our last. I have one criteria for hotels and that’s cleanliness. Our room was one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve ever endured. The entry door to the room was caked with something disgusting. The room itself definitely hadn’t been cleaned, with brown residue on the toilet. There were stains on the sheets. I even write this review while sitting in the vehicle, to avoid returning to the room. We do understand the hotel is short staffed during the holidays, which we respect. But when your job as a business is cleanliness, this is absolutely unacceptable. We asked for additional cleaning, but no one came. We will never stay here again.

Always meets our needs for driving back and forth to Florida from NJ. Staff is always friendly.

If I could give this property 0 stars, I would without hesitation. This hotel is an absolute disgrace and a stain on the Hilton brand. I walked into my room and was greeted by a live roach crawling across the wall; a clear sign of poor sanitation and unacceptable conditions for any paying guest. The staff made the experience even worse. They were uninformed, unprofessional, and completely unbothered, as if basic hospitality and cleanliness were optional. Instead of resolving the issue, they acted confused and dismissive, offering zero accountability or urgency. Adding to the chaos, my rate was changed without my permission, and not a single employee could explain why. The lack of transparency and competence at this property is alarming. Between the unsanitary room, incompetent staff, unauthorized rate changes, and total lack of customer care, this was hands down one of the worst stays I have ever experienced. I would strongly warn anyone considering this property to stay far away. There are plenty of hotels in the area — almost any of them would be a better choice than this.

Stayed here going down to SC and again coming back up. Exceptionally clean room and gracious employees. Very happy with our stay.

Staff was great breakfast was great BUT the room was so hot and no way of controlling it the control panel was blank. Lots of energy wasted in my opionipn.
