I checked in on January 5, 2024, after I had a house fire. The lady that checked me in was great, but it quickly went downhill from there. I did not have housekeeping all weekend. On Monday I called and ask if someone could please make up my bed. I was told yes. I called in around 5:00 p.m. because no one came. I was told that housekeeping was gone for the day. I was told that they would put me down for a full clean on Tuesday. After no one came I called at around 2:20 p.m. I explained that I was promised a full clean. They stated that no one told them, and housekeeping was gone. I was promised again that on Wednesday I would get a full clean. When no one again showed up on Wednesday, I called the office again, I was told that housekeeping was gone. I explained how I had been promised for two days that someone would clean my room. They sent the head of operations to clean my room. In the meantime, I had cut my leg making up my bed and apparently, I had bled on the sheets. I got a call from the general manager waking me up on Thursday explaining how they had found biologicals in my room. I explained to her how they got there. In the meantime, someone from housekeeping stole all my daytime medications That I had just filled due to the house fire. I went to see the general manager and explained what had happened. She stated that they must have accidentally got thrown away. I gave them a benefit of a doubt that that was what happened. I had to jump through hoops just to get them filled again. A few days later I noticed that they had stolen my diabetic medicine and that they had open a box that was in my room and stolen all my pain medication. I had to go 18 days without my medication. I went to see the general manager to report this, but she was not in. They taped a message on her door asking her to call me. Of course, she never called. I went back down on Monday and again she was not in. They again taped a note to her door asking her to call me, but of course she did not bother to call. So, unless she wand to be ignored, disrespected, lied to and stolen from and stay in a dirty room don't stay there.

Lovely hotel, great location. Located in the heart of small town Rome, GA. A river walk is located just outside the back door of the hotel, a lovely long walk with the river to one side and greenery on the other. Two minueted walk from the hotel are two very nice restaurants and an additional 5 minutes will take you to Krogers. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A quirk location. Just plain lovely. Only drawback, there is no breakfast provided.

Extraordinarily disappointed with the service of this new hotel. Though we checked in online at 1pm, our room was not ready until after 7pm. The person checking in was offered all kinds of compensations, but we were not. I contacted the manager, and we had a nice conversation. She promised to call me back to explain what happened, and i never heard from her. I left a message with the management company & have not heard from them either. Knowing we will be spending many weekends in rome (Berry college), we cannot stay here in good faith again. Facilities were fine. But don’t expect your room to be ready at a reasonable hour.

We were in town for a sports camp & I happened across this hotel online. The hotel was clean & spacious. Every staff member I encountered was friendly & helpful. The hotel is located close to downtown (a short walk across the bridge over the river), & it’s about a 5-10 minute drive to many other chain-style restaurants & stores.

I love this hotel for most things: modern, location, nicely furnished. But, the water pressure is horrible. I stay here 20 plus nights per year for business , but will look for other nearby options if the water pressure problems aren’t addressed and soon.

In October 2023 we had to endure the theft of my wife's wedding ring and a second ring from our locked room. We returned to our room after breakfast to find a hotel employee standing with our door fully open. Within the hour we discovered both rings were missing. We filed report with the Rome Police that morning and a Rome detective the following day. The Hotel manager Ms Jessie Singleton was very uncooperative to such a degree a more senior corporate person stepped in. The bottom line is, now almost 4 months later after submitting ring appraisals etc we were informed the hotel and its insurance have no interest in pursuing the matter of the employee and the theft. Neither the Marriot Hotel or their insurance had responded with any information in the four months since the theft. The replacement value of both rings is approximately $25,000. My advice stay at another hotel your valuable are not safe at this hotel, they have a thief on their staff and the hotel is not interested in protecting your valuables as a guest of the hotel, so beware
