Barberini 16 Boutique Hotel

Terrible stay, absolutely awful experience, I truly don't recommend anyone come here! First off, the room is incredibly small, feeling cramped and claustrophobic, making for a very uncomfortable stay. Definitely avoid this hotel in the summer; the air conditioning is completely useless with almost no cooling effect. It was stiflingly hot all night, making it impossible to get any proper rest. The curtains have terrible light-blocking capabilities. Streetlights shine directly into the room at night, making it too bright and severely affecting sleep. I couldn't get a good night's sleep at all. And the breakfast quality is even worse for words. There's a pitifully small selection, and all the fruit and bread were stale, greatly reducing the taste. Even the in-house coffee machine wasn't working properly, completely ruining the dining experience. The bathroom design is highly impractical. The sink basin is too shallow, and the water pressure is extremely high. The moment you turn on the tap, water splashes everywhere, easily soaking your clothes. The counter space is tiny, with no room to even put basic toiletries, making it incredibly inconvenient to use. Overall, every aspect was unsatisfactory. This stay was extremely disappointing. I won't be coming back, and I advise everyone not to make the same mistake!

The hotel's listing photos (P3) are highly misleading. It's not a multi-story building, but rather a simple, two-story structure in front of one. During a 38-degree heatwave in Rome, the air conditioning was completely inadequate, making it impossible to relax in the room during the day. I suspect the building itself has flaws, likely making it hot in summer and cold in winter. This is nowhere near 4-star quality; it feels more like a larger guesthouse. P1 and P2 show the hotel hallway. The rooms have only basic amenities. **Cleanliness**: The cleanliness was acceptable. **Environment**: The hotel is right by the road, so there was noise at night. However, the location is very convenient, with metro and bus stops right outside, and a supermarket nearby. Walking to major Roman attractions takes 10-30 minutes, which is a plus. **Service**: The lady at check-in was very polite, but couldn't make up for the hotel's simple facilities and insufficient air conditioning. (Perhaps the platform gave a 4-star expectation). **Negative Point**: We had an early morning flight on our last day and mentioned it the night before, but no packed breakfast was prepared for us. Even when staff were preparing breakfast, our request for it was denied. **Breakfast**: The variety was quite good. **Cooking Class**: Not offered and not even mentioned. **City Tour**: The front desk lady gave us a map at check-in, highlighting important attractions. I suppose that's what this complimentary service refers to. I rarely leave such a low rating, but the cost versus the experience was completely out of balance. The platform should verify its 4-star rating.

The location is fantastic; you can walk to all the famous attractions. However, being in the city center, it can get a bit noisy. The breakfast was good, with fresh orange juice, and I thought the coffee was pretty decent, even better than what you'd buy outside. For a stay in Rome, this is a very good option, and the room was perfectly adequate. As a tourist, this hotel is a solid choice.

The location is excellent, right in front of the subway exit, and there's a bus stop directly outside (so people tend to gather there). There's a supermarket next door, and most attractions are within walking distance (though it's quite tiring, so cycling is more convenient). It's very easy to get to the Vatican and the Colosseum by subway. The front desk service was fantastic – warm and proactive. Even before checking in early in the morning, they invited us to slow down with a coffee (the best cappuccino I had in Rome!). We left early most days and didn't get to properly sit down for breakfast. On our check-out day, it was also too early for breakfast, but they still provided us with coffee and bread. Luggage storage was very convenient. The room wasn't large, and the air conditioning was just okay. Slippers were provided. The window overlooked an attraction, so it was a bit sunny. There's a cinema next door, which could occasionally be noisy at night, but the door insulation was good, so I couldn't hear any corridor sounds. The shower was incredibly powerful! The water pressure was strong and very comfortable!!! This was absolutely perfect!

Newly renovated, it looks exquisite at first glance, but the details reveal it's not truly luxurious. The staff are all excellent, and the location is superb. However, because of this, it's quite noisy, and the windows aren't very soundproof.

The location is very convenient; you can reach all the attractions by walking or taking public transportation. There was a slight problem with the air conditioning on our first day, but the hotel was very proactive in resolving it and eventually moved us to another hotel.
